Using ModelBuilder I'm able to append features to a public feature service. This works fine when the feature service is open and not protected. When I protect that feature service the tool starts failing. I'm working with a standalone 11.1 server and Pro 3.2.0. I add the feature service as a layer in model builder and set that as the target of append. Even when I enable protection on this layer it works locally but once I try to upload the service definition file created from the successful run it hangs and never finishes publishing. I've tried enabling feature service protection before and after sharing the tool. They both fail in different ways. Can modelbuilder append to protected features services or do I need to append to a feature class that a protected feature service references?

I appreciate the response. I've been over that resource many times and was hoping I was missing a simpler solution. Maybe I'm thinking about it wrong. Typically when I need to make this kind of call I do it in python. Is there a faster gui based way to do it? I attempted setting one using integromat and https://machine.domain/com/webadaptor/sharing/rest/portals/<orgID>/webhooks but received an error that the url wasn't accessible. It does open in a web browser saying 'Accepted'. The Name of the webhook is set the same as the one on integromat. No secret, default properties, and send me everything with json selected as the format. This may be another topic entirely.

We're running Enterprise 10.8.1 and I've been attempting to get web hooks to work. On ArcGIS Online they work fine on hosted feature services but on our local portal under supported operations it's not even an option. If I append /WebHooks?f=json to the end of the feature service admin url I do get a json response which tells me there is something there. Any thoughts on why I can't create one through the web browser? Thanks

Server is 10.7.1 and services are secured with ArcGIS Server Build-in credentials. I have 3 separates services that are all acting the same way no matter how many times I attempt to share, stop/start, and enable/disable options. My process: I add a secured feature service to a web map in agol. The feature services contains features created by many different users. I have ownership-based access control enabled and all 3 options are disabled (none are checked). I want users to be able to see their features but not other users. As far as I can tell this should work. However, everyone still sees all features no matter the owner. They can click a polygon and see the owner in the attributes. They can not edit attributes of other's features but they can cut it to or change the shape. Any idea what's happening? Thanks

I'm modifying the editor widget to create a cascading select but I'm having a very difficult time finding out where the attribute html elements get created. I've tracked down where the editing starts in Widget.js (_startEditingSession) under attributeInspector.onAttributeChange but that doesn't exactly do what I want. I would like to have an attribute that must be set to 'Yes' in order for a user to save. I tried using if(attributeInspector.params.layerInfos[0].fieldInfos[5].dijit.displayedValue == 'Yes'){ query(".atiButton.save-button").removeClass("disable"); } else{ query(".atiButton.save-button").addClass("disable"); } but I found that if I changed yes to no and no to yes it would not disable and enable correctly. Since only the displayValue changes and not the actual value the onAttributeChange wouldn't run. I sometimes had to change another attribute to run what I wanted. I thought attaching a listener directly to the combobox would let me detect displayvalue change. I tried to query the object by widgetid but found that it changes. Thanks for the help!

I changed inputEditor to inputEditor.gEditor and it worked. I found this by looking at editorManager.js and found the spot where editorName === 'Select' then saw o.gEditor. After debugging the trouble line in the code I saw that the inputEditor object had a gEditor parameter. Forgive the terminology if it's wrong.

I'm modifying geoprocessing Widget.js to create cascading drop down menus. I'm attempting to attach a listener to one of the menus. I'm doing this towards the bottom of the _createInputNode method. if(param.name == "Habitat_type"){ console.log("attach listener"); on(inputEditor, "change", lang.hitch(this, this.selectChange)); } "attach listener" shows in the console but when I change the drop down selection the selectChange method doesn't run. Thanks for the help!

I have a feature service that is secured on arcgis server. The service has been added to ArcGIS online with the credentials saved. The Feature service has been added to a map which I've made a web app out of. All of this has been shared to a group. Currently users of the group can open the web map and view the service by logging into their ArcGIS online account and opening the web map. The web app is custom and I'm hosting it on the company web server. It's been registered so I have an app id and secret. I setup a redirect to https://localmachine:3356 and I'm able to develop. I push it to the web server (download and copy and paste) and also have a redirect to https://webserver/appfolder When I go to https://webserver/appfolder the ArcGIS Online login window pops up, which is what I want. I type in my credentials and it tells me my username and password are wrong when I know they are correct. {code: 400, message: "Unable to generate token.", details: ["Invalid username or password."]} I turned off chrome add-ons to be sure something wasn't messing with it. I don't get any errors in dev tools console. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance!

Thanks Robert, I had to do a bit of reading on lang.hitch. The widgets onJobComplete is called using lang.hitch(). I attempt to call this.drawBox_onClickClear() within onJobComplete but "this" has no reference to drawBox. It does have a reference to drawTools and drawTools[0] is the drawBox. this.drawTools[0]._onClickClear() did the trick. Is there a more elegant way to reference that? I appreciate your help.

I got an error and it shows that drawBox is undefined. What exactly is "this" referring to in this context?

I've copied the geoprocessing widget and set it up in web appbuilder to run a geoprocessing service that asks the user for an input polygon. After a successful run I want the tool to clear the map graphics and close the widget window. It's asynchronous so I'm editing the onJobComplete method within Widget.js. I followed instructions here to close the widget panel and that's working successfully. It appears the widget uses a draw tools box within the editor. I'm not sure if I should just "click" the clear button or if there is a better solution.. How can I click the button using the attach-point name btnClear? Thanks

Ha! It would help if I was looking at the same database. I'm working on cleaning up a little data duplication and was looking at the same data in two different databases. However, Asrujit was correct saying that I was seeing nulls because of a version in one of the databases. Thank you!

Arching, editor tracking, versioning, and attachments are all disabled. This data doesn't use any domains or relationships. As far as I can tell it appears to be a typical state boundary feature class with a few extra columns added.
