i'm getting the same error. BTW, Cornelia, did you try to Add you addin to the Operations Dashboard. I think you will face a problem while doing that. 'cause even if you managed to compile without an error, it misbehaves while adding to the dashboard. I'm stuck on the same problem while trying to run the CountWidget from the Sample projects. Any workaround would help. I got a small customization with a tight deadline.

Hello there... I tried to consume the sample code on arcgis runtime and ran the closest facility. I have published the map service with the network capability on. However, while debugging the module, the program halts on param[0] due to the fact that there is no parameter built. Is there a specfic configuration i have to change to make sure the logic constructs the parameter or what? Appreciate your help. Here is the REST URL i used to define the facilities. And the incidents are added where the user clicks on the map. http://walia/ArcGIS/rest/services/UAEMob/MapServer/21/query?text=&geometry=&geometryType=esriGeometryPoint&inSR=&spatialRel=esriSpatialRelEnvelopeIntersects&relationParam=&objectIds=&where=1%3D1&time=&returnIdsOnly=false&returnGeometry=true&maxAllowableOffset=&outSR=&outFields=&f=pjson

Hello Everyone, I am developing an Android app, quite novice but i managed so far. I am now hanging on how to use the Searchview to enable users type any landmark they are aware of. Meanwhile, i want to show the possible place names as they type along. I want to query from the selected feature classes in a map service. I have used the sample implementation online but no luck on getting a resource how to deal with map services and layers. Here is the searching function i got online but i really don't know how to set it up for layers. private void setupSearchView(MenuItem searchItem) { if (isAlwaysExpanded()) { mSearchView.setIconifiedByDefault(false); } else { searchItem.setShowAsActionFlags(MenuItem.SHOW_AS_ACTION_IF_ROOM | MenuItem.SHOW_AS_ACTION_COLLAPSE_ACTION_VIEW); } SearchManager searchManager = (SearchManager) getSystemService(Context.SEARCH_SERVICE); if (searchManager != null) { List<SearchableInfo> searchables = searchManager.getSearchablesInGlobalSearch(); SearchableInfo info = searchManager.getSearchableInfo(getComponentName()); for (SearchableInfo inf : searchables) { if (inf.getSuggestAuthority() != null && inf.getSuggestAuthority().startsWith("applications")) { info = inf; } } mSearchView.setSearchableInfo(info); } mSearchView.setOnQueryTextListener(this); } Screaming for help.

Well, Strange. For some reasons, the LayerInfo of the featurelayer is always returning null. I don't know what i'm missing. For review, the below is my snippet. Private void IndexExtractor() { FeatureLayer ft = new FeatureLayer() { ID = "MyFeatureLayer", Url = "http://michael/ArcGIS/rest/services/zones/FeatureServer/1" }; ft.Initalized += new EventHandler<EventArgs>(ft_Initalized); Map.Layers.Add(ft); List<ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Field> LayerFields = new List<ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Field>(); ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.FeatureService.FeatureLayerInfo myFeatureLayerInfo = ft.LayerInfo; foreach (ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Field Fields in myFeatureLayerInfo.Fields) { LayerFields.Add(Fields); } } void ft_Initalized(object sender, EventArgs e) { ft.Initalize(); Graphic newGraphic = new Graphic(); ft.Graphics.Add(newGraphic); } Everytime it executes, the LayerInfo returns null. Any idea? Thanks a mil.

Salute All, Well, i got a requirement to pass an attribute index as a queryString and perform a query operation at the backend. This numeric value should then be parsed to give the attribute name so that i can use it for the queryTask while passing the string URL as a parameter to construct the querytask. My question is ... is it possible to get an attribute index and parse it to get the attribute name from the application logic? Please any code snippet or conceptual brief would certainly help.

Thanks Barry, thanks Dominique I could rotate the polyline using the raw math algo i got from u, barry. Dominique snippet is quite neat so i will replace it. Problem continues thou. The polyline being rotated follows a certain buffer. So consider it like the pivot point for the rotation is the a point buffered at a radius exactly equal to the the length of the polyline. The funny part is that as it rotates, the tip of the polyline touches the buffer graphics at some points and falls inside the buffer at some points. I realized the buffered graphics is not a perfect circle. Any idea? The last resort would be to have sort of a spegetti implementation having geometry service and finding the coordinate the elongated polyline touches the buffer graphics, take the new XY, redraw the polyline with the pivot point (x0, y0) to the new point (x1, y1). Thanks Folks.
