In trying to cram in as much as I can for school in an effort to get a better job quickly, I have decided to work through the Python certifications for Esri to get an idea for Python. I figure in creating maps for sharing purposes learning coding would be a good way to make myself an even better asset.
Right now, I know a little HTML through my own website building, from a couple fan sites back in the day to working on my personal blog.
I found a PDF to read through, and I'm collecting texts I can find for free to read on the iPad and keeping an eye out for library resources.
I got lucky this semester, my only required textbook was $80 and I'm finding it for considerably less.
For students, it's a good thing there are so many online resources, GIS and coding has a lot of opportunities to learn in the comfort of your own home.
I am also trying to shove in a GPS class, since the one at my school is constantly being dropped. I am not sure how much that would be useful - I was already planning on taking the other elective for my certification- but an extra credit in always help, right?
