Howdy, Following the "Automatically generating assignments in Workforce " I was able to get a script working for automating workforce Assignment generation. I would like to add a condition to this to first check for any existing assignments before generating a new one. To do this I would like to compare the ID number(leaknumber) in my webmap layer to the workOrderId in the assignments layer. If the webmap id number does not exist in the workOrderId field then I would like for it to generate a assignment. Below is the existing input for generating assignments I am fairly new to arcgis api for python and am not sure the best way to go about this. Some blogs state to compare layers, I should first join them and then look for differences. I have also @seen others that create a loop within a loop to first check if feature service 1 == feature service 2. What is the most efficient way to add this condition in? Thanks!

Howdy again, I was able to get the location working. Would it also be possible to pass parameters through from a newly created field in the assignments feature service? I tested with a new field in various data types but kept getting a error with the name of the new field in the assignments layer I generated

Howdy! I was able to solve the issue. I killed the VM launched another and went through the steps again. This for some reason worked and I am now able to schedule the script at different intervals. Thanks guys!

Howdy, Not sure if this helps but here are screen shots from attempting to run the .py in windows command line vs anaconda command As you can see the .py fails in the windows and works in the anaconda prompt. I would run it in the python command line but am unable to find where the python command line is.

Howdy, I modified a script following this blog post Automatically generating assignments in Workforce. The script runs perfectly and I would like to schedule it to run at a specif time each day. To do this I have been following the blog post Scheduling a Python script or model to run at a prescribed time. I have been attempting this on a VM I created and installed anaconda and python on following this blog Install and set up | ArcGIS for Developers. The script I am running was created on a note book. I then converted this to a .py file to run using task scheduler. The .py file calls for a password to be entered after running the file. I have tested the .py file on the vm by accessing the file through the anaconda prompt and running it from there. However I have had no success with running the script from the Task scheduler. Can anyone tell me where I am going wrong? #aaron pulver ACTIONS Program/Script: C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python37-32\python.exe Add Arguments: "C:\Users\Administrator\Documents\Workforce.py"-password=password

Howdy, So I am having one last issue. I am testing with another layer that does not have a address field (Location). Is it possible to pull the location from somewhere else or does the address field have to be present with any layer I am using ?

Thank you!!!!! I worked through the steps you gave me and got it to work. First did the print option but I got no output as you suspected. I then tired a different feature service with only one layer in it and this worked. I also adjusted the priority and description fields to match fields in my layer. Such a cool tool! Thank you for putting this out there!
