Thank you Joshua for your response. Unfortunately, I had to abandon this project in Arcgis Pro due to time constraints. (It worked fine in ArcMap.) I will use your suggestion when I revisit in_memory in ArcPro and include my results.

I am unable to figure out how to include the attribute table to a layout. The goal is to print the map and attribute together on one page. Thanks.

Joshua, Thank you for your reply. I followed the example provided here in writing to memory. It looks similar to in_memory and I thought that it would provide the expected results. I was wrong. I believe that the example was using an interactive Python window. Thank you also for sharing my question with the Python group.

Thank you for your reply. I think the difference is using the interactive mode in PRO vs. standalone (arcpy from PyScripter). For some reason, 'memory\' stores data in .gdb and not on-disk.

In Arc Pro 2.6, the message ERROR 000210: Cannot create output memory\example is returned after I run my geoprocessing script. The script is using Python 3.6. I understand that Arc PRO is different from ArcMap in that it is 64-bit and does not block the application while a tool is running. I read, however, that the mulithreaded approach writes on-disk in PRO when using "in_memory\\example " and not to memory as I prefer. Using "memory\example", seemed to be the solution, but then it results in the error mentioned above. Can you please help me in identifying a way to write to memory as I did in ArcMap with the goal of publishing? Below is a bit of the code that I used. Any help is appreciated. #Import arcpy modules from arcpy import MakeQueryLayer_management from arcpy import CopyFeatures_management from arcpy import env #Local Variables LPRMQ = r"memory\LPRMQ" #Input/Output PIDNum = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0) arcpy.SetParameterAsText(1, r"memory\LPR") # Set Geoprocessing environments arcpy.env.scratchWorkspace = "C:\\Users\\..." arcpy.env.workspace = "C:\\Users\\..." arcpy.MakeQueryLayer_management(DB, LPRMQ, "SELECT ...") arcpy.CopyFeatures_management(LPRMQ, r"memory\LPR", "", "0", "0", "0") Lynn

After looking at the map service and web app to no avail, I decided to work with my data. There is a field that identifies whether the location geocoded (Philadelphia) or not at all (Orlando). I included a CASE statement in my query that when the field is 1 shape is null. This change keeps all records and only shows Philadelphia in Web AppBuilder. Chelsea, thank you for your help with this.

Thank you for replying Chelsea. I tried your suggestions and the display now zooms to the FL location only. So, maybe 'Customize' allows for scale control, but not for maximum extent boundary control?

Is there a way to set/configure the maximum extent for a base map? Currently, the extent zooms out to display points in two very different cities. (It was created this way.) However I would like the extent to only show points in one city, but continue to show attribute results for all locations. The first attachment shows the points at two locations (PA_FL.png). The second attachment displays the extent that I would prefer (Philly.png) Thank you for your help. Lynn

I looked into this a bit more deeply and found that the main solution is to add the python script into a model builder model. Make sure to include 'Model Parameters' to all inputs and outputs. Publish this model. That really did the trick.

Please help this noobie. I published a geoprocessing service to ArcGIS Server, and added it to a web application (Portal WebApp Builder geoprocessing widget). The script tool worked in Arcmap and published fine with a resulting feature class. Here are my problems. 1. I am not able to get pop-up information for the geoprocessing result 2. it does not show up in the application's legend widget 3. when configuring the geoprocessing widget, I do not see any options for defining the symbology and popup fields for the output as described in the widget documentation Script properties for the output is a feature class, derived and the direction is the output. Does anybody have any ideas for fixing this? I question my SetParameterAsText. Any help is appreciated. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you so much

YES! Perfect. I think I should be able to pass the query widget parameters into the SSRS url.... somehow. I need to look into this one. UGH WAB really needs a report widget.

Robert, Too funny! SSRS stands for SQL Server Reporting Services (Microsoft product). It allows me to generate a report using parameters from a data set. I can then link the report to my app as described above. Btw, is there a way to contact you offline? Lynn
