Thanks Mike, I'll play around and see if I can come up with something The reason I'm doing this is because I work for a water company in Florida, so its to compliment a pdf mapbook I'm making in case we have no internet during a hurricane (I don't just randomly look up 7 year old posts I promise )

Mike, could you share the python code for splitting the streets out separately rather than all be concatenated with the & symbol? - my python skills are still in the 'early' stage

Hi guys, I hope I am asking this in the right place. I made a geodatabase with a field that is just a simple input text field that I have already filled with data. I would like to change this field to a coded domain / drop down menu selection field. Is this possibly to do considering I already created a field which is populated with data? Thanks! Luke Edit: Thank you George, my bad!

Hi guys, I have a shapefile that I want to load into an sde. feature class. The schema of the tables is slightly different. I know you can achieve this with append under the data-management tools, but awhile ago I vaguely remember being able to 'load' the shp file into the sde. in 10.0 and then being able to manually pick and choose which table files you wanted to bring across and correspond with the feature class fields within the sde. Does anyone know this alternative process? It wasnt particularly complicated at all, I just cant remember how we did it for the life of me! Thanks

Hi Joe, thanks for the help - what solved it was using the composite address locator on another users pc with admin rights, strange but problem solved

Yeah, thank you guys for offering your help, but my problem is even the matched address which were matched with the parcel data can't be zoomed/panned to, I am trying it on another users mxd now who has admin privileges and can run the address locator from the sde... maybe that is the reason

All yes Joe :-), I have noticed though, that i can zoom to the points fine if they used the street center lines to match the address (I am using a composite address locator) the ones that wont allow me to zoom to (my original problem) seem to be matched using parcel boundaries (part of the composite address locators). Another point that may or may not be relevant is that the original composite address locator was stored on our SDE, (I dont have admin rights) and I couldn't run it via the sde so I copied the address locator to my local drive.

I have a wierd bug, maybe its something I have done wrong I dont know but I wondered if anyone else might have come across it / can help me. I have geocoded a big list of addresses (2000+) they have all came in correctly in the right location, except when I try to pan or zoom to them by selecting them in the table it wont allow me, however if I manually select a point with a cursor, I can then pan or zoom to it, does anyone know why this might be happening? Thanks

If I had an image of a location that I could click on and it would zoom to a point location on the map within the tabbed layout of a storymap template

Hi Owen, my mistake - I think I got things mixed up, what I mean to say is I am building a story map series (Tabbed layout), I have polygons in there, which I switch between in sequence (areas of interest in my story map). Can I also add point layer which could then be zoomed into? So far I only have polygon layers and I'm not sure if this was possibly (rookie!)

Hi Guys, I am new to story map creating, I am currently trying to make a story map tour, but I didn't want to the polygon layer pop up to appear as soon as the story map is loaded, I wanted it to appear only when clicked on, is this easy to adjust? Thank you!
