Hey @FabianHanggi - We have the same issue and the same error you posted. We rolled back and still it does not work. The Browserlist suggestion did not fix it either. Anything you ever found deep in the code that was trigger this? The one thing I noticed is we are using node 16. We never deployed the app, so we never knew what it ever worked on. This is our first time deploying.

Michael - sorry for delay I hope you solved this. Permission wise nothing special. We due use a Windows AD Service account method to run the ArcGIS for Server Service. I would start there and use the "Configure ArcGIS Sever Account" to re-apply permissions after the move you made from C: to Mounted. It wiggles any permission issue loose from my experience.

I had this issue on 10.7.1 after moving the configuration store, etc from C drive to a mounted drive. PublishingToolsEx does not show up in ArcServer Manager (maybe on purpose). Going to the: {arcserverurl}/arcgis/admin/services/System/PublishingToolsEx.GPServer and starting it manually did the trick. A side note: This issue was there for months and we could publish fine. I found the error when adding a "Database connection" to the data store. It just hung for a few minutes. I went to the log file and saw this: Unable to process request. Service System/PublishingToolsEx/GPServer not started So I would be curious of what uses the PublishingTools vs PublishingToolsEx. They both are needed and present at 10.7.1 by the looks of it.

Anything on the ESRI Road Map to allow Azure Active Directory Domain to connect to an SDE connection via ArcServer or ArcDesktop or ArcPro? This has been around for years via SSMS. As note this makes it impossible to go Cloud Based for any Work Stations, Servers etc regarding ESRI without the need to use "SQL Server Authentication" throughout your stack.

"The definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting a different result": I have rebuilt everything from scratch, confirmed relationships, enabled arching, globalids, and sync on the feature class. I have done nothing but "create a survey from a feature service" and then instantly try to publish the survey from Survey123 Connector and get the below: We are using latest ArcDesktop; ArcServer (unfederated) with Portal, Latest Survey123, all in Microsoft Azure. I can easily work with a single layer with an attachment, publish and collected photos. This 2 tier relationship is not working. My MXD looks like. The only layer it will not let me pull in is the relationship between SUR_ROOMS_PLUMBING & __ATTACH The below lets me publish Survery123 to Portal but obviously is not good due to lack of attributes. This throws me the aforementioned error. I have also removed and tried to publish on every single stand alone "type". Having a "Type in the repeat is not allowing a publish and is shown the above error.

Ok I moved past that error by following some comments I overlooked on another blog which were: If un-versioned...enable Archiving...and then create the Feature service using "Sync". Great tip. That bypassed development needs and I didn't get blocked by that error. Now here is my new error : ( I have spent hours confirming globalids and relationships. I am trying to get all this done for a Hurricane Harvey construction project and am under major pressure. If anyone has feedback on this please advise: This is my data model & relationship class example. Maybe something is wrong in my XLSFORM Spreadsheet? Searching yields no results on this error.

Yes the articles/blogs from Ismael and your feedback on other troubleshooting pages has been amazing BTW. I think I have read everything multiple times : ) I am getting this error when trying to publish the survey back into Portal using the Feature Service: I then did some more searching and got to this point: ArcGIS REST API I have a developer that can help me but I want to make sure on these "Repeats" I give proper directions to the developer if this fix is correct. Also I DevOped it via a Survey123 Connector into a Feature Service (Hosting) and pulled down the FGDB to take a look at the relationships. Below is the FGDB and I have rebuilt the "relationships" within SDE and made said Feature Service which gave me the above warning. I also want to make sure there is not a "data model issue" as when using "make survey from feature service" the images and repeats don't pull in to the Survey123 Connector Form. Even with other surveys with a simple "attachment" I tested "Image" doesn't pull in. I had no problem adding "image" in for simple attachments via the Survey123 Connector and successfully loading to SDE but the "repeat photo" data model is a bit more complex with relationships so want to confirm that aspect too is not giving a false warning. Even though the "repeat" did not pull in for the photos from the Feature Service I just mocked it up in Connector

Also should be able to add multiple services and group them. In essence the grouping and arranging of TOC in ArcMap should be paralleled in Web Map Items and thus Web Applications. Geocortex has this years ago. It's a staple for online web maps.

Anne, Did you figure out how to "Republish" the service? None of these answers specify the Auto-republish you originally asked. Just wondering if I have to run that all again or if there is a separate "republish" workflow you discovered? I have to point over 70+ services to new databases There is lots of help on how to write scripts to auto publish services via python but not overwrite an existing Map Service and keep all the respective settings. I wrote a python script to auto publish new Services and then use JSON and ArcGIS Admin API to configure those services to my environment. That build process has limitations for "Republishing". Cheers, Dylan Kennard

You can also pipe in a WKID code in replace of a prjFile like sr = arcpy.SpatialReference(3857) which is the Web Mercator Projection to bypass that project file step. Also I got hung up on the df.spatialReference = sr .....I capitalized Spatial as some help articles on ESRI reference it that way. Thanks for the clear exacting code! It helped me stop pulling my hair out.

I run a python script from SQL Agent that deletes and rebuilds a layer so I subsequently add the indexes back on. It failed on a process after the index, so I started the script from the beginning as I had no legible error code. Thus it failed this time on the index rebuild. I reordered a bit of the python script and made the index part it's own module which is run last. Therefore if it fails I don't have to trouble shoot that aspect.

If you are using a domain account double check you have "Domain\User". I just had "User". Might be worth an add to your troubleshooting list as it is a silly mistake and not directly mentioned anywhere on this feed. I have setup many ArcServers and every once in a while overlook the domain part. It then just creates a user per your instructions which naturally has no access to the folders.

This needs to be clarified for ArcGIS Desktop 10.2.2. Hopefully it will save some folks hours as this destroyed my morning. Yes removing all quotes in an SDE/SQL Database does work for example: SANDBOX.DBO.TABLE.PrimaryKey = SANDBOX.DBO.TABLE.Primary_Key HOWEVER if you run the tool without unchecking your "OBJECTID" fields within "Field Names" the tool will output for a lack of a better term "Full Join" or FAIL. For example I had 100 polygons and 300 records. It outputted 30,000 plus polygons with lots of false joins! In essence with OBJECTID checked It duplicates everything and joins to everything (and maybe ignores your query?). I then ran the same thing again and it failed. Remember this tools keeps everything in memory. Lastly to get on the fog horn to ESRI This tool is key to almost any GIS user....why since it has been released has it not been stable? Good luck trying to use it in Python or Geoprocessing Model. It took me hours to get that correct too! Export to Python Snippet doesn't work well for this tool either without some editing.
