Hello, I have an odd question. I am using a custom python tool (not built by me) that allows me to update polygon features by interactively selecting various census geographies. It has a save function that should save to an outside .dbf file. Here's the weird thing, it is not saving the updates I make to the .dbf. When I export it to open it in Alteryx, its missing about 500 records. Yet it is displaying the correct polygon edits in the tool, even after restarting the computer and arcmap. Is there a way I can access the geo-id of the polygons through some kind of temporary workspace or cache in Arcmap? (Im using 10.1) I would prefer to not have to make those 500 changes again if possible. How can something display and save changes, but not update the corresponding .dbf? Thanks, (I'm not well versed in python so I don't feel confident editing the tool myself right now)

Derp. Got it to work. Some of my defaults in IIS were wrong. Thanks everyone! Hopefully this helps Arcgisforchao as well. Didn't mean to hi-jack the post, I was just having a similar problem.

I am having the EXACT same problem. I am trying to load a map of mine that I have published to Arcgis Online with the API This tutorial seems to work when you view the "live sample" https://developers.arcgis.com/en/javascript/jssamples/ags_createwebmapid.html But if I copy that code into an .html document locally and open it in my browser the boarders and frames load but no map or info. If you copy the code from the Web ID tutorial into the sandbox it fails! If you download it as a .zip file and again load it locally it Fails! Please respond someone, these tutorials are proving to be less than helpful.

Hello, I am using a 30meter raster of land use data that I have split into 4 classes. I wish to count the number of cells within each class that reside within census tracts and counties as zones. When I get the table from the Zonal Histogram at the county level It tells me that class 3 has 837 cells, but when I use the census tracts as the zone, each zone has over 1000 cells. I am at my wits end and I have been trying to solve this for the better part of 3 days now. I am using arc 10 sp4. Is there a work around for this? Thanks I tried exporting the tract polygons to a raster of the same cell size and used a snap raster in the environment settings. Still same result if I use all of the tracts even in raster form it is not correct. If i just have one tract raster if works fine. WHY IS IT DOING THIS?!?!

Hello folks! I am trying to use the dasymetric mapping tool provided by the USGS: WGSC http://geography.wr.usgs.gov/science/dasymetric/data.htm They provide a handy toolbox with the scripts enclosed. I am trying to dasymetricaly map county wide population to census tract polygons. I am using Arc10.0 student edition on a 64bit windows machine. I am using the NLCD 2006 Land use map as my raster for ancillary data. I am only testing it on one county in Michigan at the moment. I have a county shapefile with the population field. But every time I try to use the tool I get this message from arc. C:\Users\Owner\Desktop\CENSUSDATA\TESTtRACT Start Time: Tue Sep 18 09:16:55 2012 Running script DasymetricMapping... Setting the INHAB Field <type 'exceptions.RuntimeError'>: ERROR 999999: Error executing function. Failed to execute (DasymetricMapping). Failed at Tue Sep 18 09:17:19 2012 (Elapsed Time: 24.00 seconds) Does anyone have any experience with this tool? I have looked over the python code and I cant figure out why my data is incompatible with this tool. Thanks.
