Performance issues like this are best handled as bugs rather than ideas. In this case https://support.esri.com/en-us/bug/issues-in-arcgis-pro-when-decreasing-the-size-of-or-imp-bug-000162109 was submitted through technical support and is addressed in ArcGIS Pro 3.3 (scheduled for May). Thank you

As noted, this was considered a bug, reported here https://support.esri.com/en-us/bug/the-coordinate-format-parameter-for-the-calculate-geome-bug-000164008 that is addressed in ArcGIS Pro 3.3 where the tool's behavior is corrected to match the documentation.

>>If you look at the history on that page, you can see that we have released a new version of Pro (aside from patches) roughly one to two times a year. Correct - ArcGIS Pro releases roughly two times per year, so users can get a general sense of release cadence by reviewing the product life cycle (PLC). That is just for Pro. Other products of course have different release cadences and their PLCs can be reviewed to understand their cycles.

For anybody following this thread, or for those who may run across it in the future, ArcGIS Pro 3.3 (scheduled for May) requires .NET 8. See https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/announcements/arcgis-pro-3-3-moves-to-net-8/ During installation of ArcGIS Pro 3.3, if we detect that .NET 8 is not present on the machine we will provide a message - in that message we are including a hyperlink to the .NET 8 download page as a response to this feedback. We hope that helps in situations like this one.

@celtics08 we're adding an option for you to control this in ArcGIS Pro 3.3 (scheduled for May). It is in the Table options > Activate the map view after using Flash, Pan, or Zoom from the table. That should give you what you're looking for.

Thanks @Bud You noted that when you find specific discrepancies or gaps you submit those through the feedback button on each help page. That is the best workflow and teams are continually working to improve the help. We can be confident that ArcMap documentation will be up through 2028 and we can re-assess the situation 4+ years from now.
