Jay, did you ever get a solution to your question? I am in need a similar solution. I have multiple aquifer formations, bedrock elevation and land surface elevation that I would like display as a "3D cake." Since CityWebEngine viewer has been retired, I have failed to find a suitable replacement.

I have found over the last 2 months that I am unable to edit the photo caption of some photos, mostly just the first photo taken. This applies to both completing the survey in the field and editing it after the survey is submitted. Both instances it allows the caption to be edited but it does not accept the re-name (reverts back to the original caption Survey123 has assigned). I was hoping this would fix itself but it doesn't appear that way. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance, Joe

Thanks for the quick response, after hearing the feedback from peers in the last week or so it sounds like the loading issue has everything to do with loading over public WiFi that experiences large user volume. Thanks for the detailed response, Joe

The new story map with beta slideshow option does not allow the choice to host an image or video, upload only. Which makes it feel like the load times are very slow to load the entire story map. I have had this story map released for not even a week and I have already had several complaints about the load times. Any suggestions other then making the entire story map size smaller or the size of the photos smaller(bigger photos have better resolution)? Seems unrewarding to get a story map this far and have a slow story map load time. Is it a product loading the story map over public WIFI? Desktop vs Laptop? Hosting source? It seems other story maps I have viewed that are large and complex load much quicker, and I have no videos in it. Any suggestions would help, thanks, Joe ArcGIS StoryMaps

I found the bathyx10 elevation service, this isn't close to what i am attempting to create, thanks for the process. I attempted your process above with no luck, same result as originally stated.

Safe to assume no one has a good answer for this yet? The Cityweb engine viewer 3D model works but the online interface leaves more to be desired. I am still at a dead end if anybody else has any ideas! Thanks Joe

Thanks for the quick response Owen! The reason I am not a fan of "click anywhere to interact" is the maps I have published, the only function is to zoom in/out, not to interact with the data. I have uploaded these maps as a visualization and not exploratory, so saying "interact" could be confusing to some individuals, since the only option of the map is to zoom and change the extent. Having a customizable message or just a few choices for a message is all I am looking for. I have received this feedback from my team along with just the map interaction in general. It can be slightly confusing to start interacting with applications and then figuring out how to stop interacting. I constantly overlook individuals who are less experienced with interactive application on AGOL, so it is hard for me to relate to this issue. Possibly drawing more attention to the stop interaction button might also be something ESRI wants to look at. Hope this helps, Joe

I have created a "new' ArcGIS Story map and embedded 4 maps as "older" story map applications (Story Map Basic) into it. While scrolling through the story map the embedded maps work, the way to interact with the map is says "Click anywhere to Interact." Is there a way to change the language "Click anywhere to Interact?" This statement is clearly the default, and I see no place to change this statement, I thought ESRI should make this an option. It would be great if you could change this default! Thanks for any comments in advance, Joe

I have created many maps in an attempt to build a couple cascade story map, so i have been at this for 6 months on and off. The layer visibility I set in ARCPro (Version 2.4.1) for all layers should have layers not visible zoomed in past a scale of 1:250,000. When I share my ARCPro maps to ARCOnline, 2 of maps I have created do not follow the scale visibility pattern I set in ARCPro. When I open these maps in the Mapviewer (beta) the visibility slider has no function (I cannot change the scale visibility or the drop down menu choices). I have recreated my whole project and re-upload the map in attempt to fix this issue only to have the the scale visibility completely wrong and not editable, not even a range of visibility, only one view-able scale. This functionality is taking away from my story map and is extremely frustrating to try and solve. If any pros or technicians have had issues with this same thing, please let me know how I can fix this on my end. The only thing I could think of is the configuration of the map from Pro to Online (editable VS visualization). I did try different configurations with the same result. ##storymap #mapviewer beta #story maps classic #visiblelayers#configure scale Thanks for any help advance. Joe

I have built multiple Cascade story map, using the enable interaction choice for my maps. As my team is reviewing my story maps they expressed issues with the explore button on all the maps. Sometimes the explore button works great, other times they click the explore button and nothing happens, the map remains stagnant(not interactive), the explore button does not change over to "stop exploring." Is this issue on the creators side or more of a device/bandwidth/loading issue? Does anyone else have this issue? #story maps cascade #interactive map arcgisstorymap #story map functionality Thanks for any responses in advance, Joe R

Hey Philip, thanks for this comment. I think my issue lies with how I built the view using the cartographic offset of my layers to define their spacing vs using vertical exaggeration (messing with the vertical exaggeration and different Elevation surfaces doesn't work in terms of the layers end up being interwoven with each other which is not what I am attempting to show). So the way you suggested may not work. Is there anyway to send the cartographic offset with the layer when transferring over to AGOL ? Thanks Joe

Peter, Thanks for looking into this, you are correct in that all the elements I am displaying are 2D raster’s. I am still not an expert on the 3D elements of ARCpro (yet!), is there a way to put raster/.tiff files into a 3D format to be displayed in an online scene? I’ve been doing lots of reading through the blogs and viewing training videos all about ARCPRO and have not found anything close to what I am attempting to do. Everything I have seen about 3D elements uses different types of shapefile, ARCpro does not even allow me the option to drag the raster files into the 3D portion of Contents Pane. Any info or training objective that is relevant to this would be great learning tool for me and greatly appreciated. Thanks Joe

I have Created a 3D view of Geology in Wisconsin to use my ARCGIS-Online account. When I Shared my Scene from ArcPro (V. 2.3.3) to ARCGIS-online it did not share anything close to what I create in ArcPro. None of the 3D visualization was shared and it also stacked all my .tiff files on top and I can't even see them! If anyone could please advise me on a solution it would be greatly apprenticed. Thanks As you can see from the ArcPro View the layers are stacked and show vertical exaggeration and the Online Scene does even come close to representing what I created in ARCpro. If anyone could please advise me on a solution it would be greatly apprenticed. Thanks

I've been using the Cityengine Web viewer to display a 3D Images of underground aquifers, works great! My issue is I added a basic polygon shape file, just the outline (in ARCScene, Looks great) for context purposes and then proceeded to update my AGOL story. When the Cityengine loads it takes the polygon outline and fills it in with an arbitrarily color and it changes the view of the original data. Essentially it is not portraying the data exactly how I have prepared it in ARCScene. Please advise, thanks you!
