They're using the field app. I downloaded the newest version of Connect and republished the survey, and then updated the survey on the devices. We'll see how it goes, they might not run into the scenarios where the issues occur for a bit, so hopefully I won't hear about any issues, and this will have solved it. I'll reach back out if the issue continues to occur.

A survey I created about 3.5 years ago has been having issues lately. It's used multiple times a day, and normally there are no issues. When issues do come up, it's when they try to re-submit a survey that's already been submitted. Previous issues that have been brought to my attention were when they tried to add another signature to the image repeat question and resubmit, and today's was trying to submit a survey from yesterday as a new survey for today because all of the same information applied. The error just says "failed to submit", with no error code to search for, and no information to go off of. Any suggestions for what could be wrong? I feel like the ultimate solution is going to be to create a new survey and have them use that one, but I'm trying to avoid that.

I swear I used the exact same syntax previously and it didn't work. But it did this time, so that's all that matters. Thanks for your help!

Here's my file. It's not based on a feature service like the original survey with the Solution is.

Is it possible to populate a question using information filled in on another question, dependent on the answer to another question? I'm trying to modify the Damage Assessment Survey that comes in the Damage Assessment Solution to better suit my municipalities needs. We have a select one question asking if the point of contact is the property owner, an occupant, or both owner and occupant of the property. Then there's a set of questions asking point of contact's information, and another section asking owner information. What I'd like to do, is if "Owner" or "Owner/Occupant" is selected, to have the point of contact information populate into the owner information. I tried using this expression in the calculate section: if(selected(${represent}, 'Owner'), ${contactname}, '') where ${represent} is the select one question described above, and the '' at the end is two single quotes to prompt leaving the question blank I've tried the above expression, and it didn't work. I've tried the above expression with words in the final single quotes, and it worked fine UNLESS I selected "Owner". I've tried the expression with ${contactname} in single quotes, which returned a file path. Is it possible? Am i using the wrong expression, or missing something in syntax?

I'd greatly appreciate your code! I've dabbled in Arcade, but not sure I would know how to figure out how to use it to solve my issue. Thanks!

Hey have you figured out a way around the label issue? I'm having the same problem where names are getting cut off. Names get cut off when we do 30 labels per page, and it appears to fix most situations when I switch to 20 labels per page or 10 labels, but we'd like to stick to 30 labels if possible.

Hey any chance you figured this out? I have a similar issue where people apply for a library card, but outside of our municipality they have to pay an annual fee for the card, so I was trying to figure out if there's some way to have at least a constraint message outside of the municipal boundary warning them.

I'm having this issue as well, that I'm trying to make a field unique, but receiving the error that there are duplicates. There are not duplicates, and I've gone through and checked for any null/empty/blank options in the list and there are not. I have not entered any data yet, as it has yet to be collected, is this possibly why? The data is meant to be used in a publicly viewable app for residents to find where the banner of their military veteran family member has been hung in town. The banners have not been hung yet, but I'm setting up the data for our public works crew to select names rather than manually typing them in, leading to a lot of potential spelling mistakes. I need to be able to enable search on the name field for the map/application so residents can easily find their banner, but I can't seem to do this and thought making the Name field unique would fix this, but I can't make it unique. I saw a solution later in this thread of adding code to the JSON, but either I don't know where the right place is to enter it in the JSON or I did it wrong, because the addition was rejected.

I want to make it very easy to remind our GIS users to update and input data. I was thinking something along the lines of posting a QR code somewhere very visible. They would scan it and the map they need to update would open. Is this possible? If not, any suggestions for another way to accomplish this goal?

Sorry in advance for the long post, but I want to explain the whole situation so my issues are clear. I've created a survey using a FS that has a related table. The dataset is a point FC of all of our vehicles and some of our equipment (such as trailers, backhoes, lawn mowers, etc). The related table is to capture all of the maintenance done to each item, and make it easily accessible to the people using the equipment. Because of so many different users, I need the survey to be a web form, so that every time a vehicle moves departments, or we get a new vehicle, or get rid of an old one, all of the users won't have to go in and update the survey. History has shown that they're not good at that, so I'd really like to avoid using the app to access the survey. This is how the survey is currently set up: The survey is set up with cascading selects to select the equipment you want to submit the survey for, and then pulldata to populate a point on the map based on the equipment selected. The survey is essentially two different surveys smashed into one. One part is "maintenance is needed", where once the equipment is selected, the user fills in information about what is wrong with the vehicle for our office manager to schedule it for maintenance. The second half of the survey is to be filled out when maintenance is already completed, and is set to populate the maintenance related table. I'd like to keep this two-in-one setup in place if possible, so that I don't have to update multiple locations every time there's a change to the inventory. I had no issues publishing, no errors returned or anything, and when filling out the survey, everything functions as it's meant to. But when I submit it, I receive a general error. I thought the issue might be with the map question, or the pulldata function, or the two-in-one functionality, so I pulled everything out of the survey except the questions where an item is selected, and the questions the maintenance table needs. But then I receive a different, even more general error message. So I'm not sure what's going wrong. Any suggestions?

This is going to be a long post, and I apologize but I want to paint the full picture of my issue. I'm having an issue with a survey I built from a feature service that has a related table. It's a FC of all of our vehicles and equipment, for inventory and maintenance purposes. There's a related table that would store all the maintenance done on that vehicle/equipment, for easy reference to those using the equipment. It's a two part survey where half of it would add a completed maintenance record to the related table, and the other half would show that maintenance is needed on something. It uses pulldata and cascading selects to autopopulate the location of the vehicle/equipment on a map to fulfill the 2nd half of the surveys functionality. Ideally, I want to maintain both functionalities so that I don't have to update the csv of 2 different surveys every time we get a new vehicle/get rid of a vehicle/move a vehicle to a new department (which happens easily once a month). Also along with this, I want it to be available through web format, NOT using the Survey123 app, because with many users who I don't regularly see, I don't want the users to have to update the survey every time a vehicle change occurs. However. I'm concerned that I'm trying to do too many things in one survey, or have some things in there that are unnecessary to accomplish my goals, and that's the cause of my error message. I have no issues publishing, but I cannot submit a survey. Everything appears to function as it should, but just does not work. There is no error code, it just says "Survey contains errors", and highlights the map question. I tried to take the mapping part away, thinking maybe that was the issue, but still, no luck. Not quite sure what's going on. Any ideas?

Thanks for helping me clean up the survey further, but this didn't solve the issue either. There isn't anything technically incorrect about how the survey is set up, otherwise it wouldn't have published or would've given an error when I opened the survey, but the geopoint just doesn't want to work. I'm wondering if it's a bug.

Thanks for your help, but unfortunately, I'm still in the same boat. I changed the field type for coordinates, and took away the field type for the geopoint. When I took out the number(), I got the "you broke the parser" error message. Using number() in the calculation field is something I've had to do before, so out of habit I just started out with it. Leaving number() in, I'm able to republish with the adjusted field types, but still receive the same error as before.

I created a survey using a hosted feature service with a related table. The geopoint question was set to auto-calculate coordinates based on the answer to a previous question using pulldata functions. It also uses external choice list and cascading selects. Once I published it, the geopoint question shows an unspecified error. The coordinates populate properly, and the point is dropped at the right location, but the question lights up in red as an error, and when I try to submit the survey I receive a message saying there's one error, and moves me to the geopoint question. I've tried manually setting the location, searching for an address, and submitting the survey without having any coordinates, and all generate an error. Thinking it was an error with the geopoint question, I re-published the survey without any of the fields that were related to it. I still receive an error, saying just "Failed to submit." No questions are lighting red, no error code, nothing to tell me why it failed. What is causing the error? How can I fix it? Attached is the excel file, and fgd of the data.
