Hi, I'm about to start my first project with Navigator. I actually want to use Workforce with the Survey123 and Navigator combo. What I need to build is the navigation on our network where on the way to the destination the driver will be notified any time he is close (or pass) certain locations (signs or other points of interest). So the destination will be add from Workforce. Is the solution to build the network with the stops? But how can I set that the driver will be notify? Thanks!

I'm explicitly setting the 32 bit python to run it. It didn't work with the default 64 bit instance.

Hi Freddie, You’re right. I have installed pywin32 (32 bit) and it works. It also works in pyscripter but I needed pywin to be able to automate it in task scheduler. Thanks a lot.

Hi Dan, Thanks for your reply. I have copied wrong version but I had tried also with “r” and with double back slashes and single front slashes before. It’s not causing the issues. The error is the same “Error executing function” no matter which slashes I use. Jana

Hi, I need to automate the process of creating runtime geodatabase. I have a working model which use the Create Runtime Content tool. It works without any errors. I exported this model to python script and it failed to execute. So I tried to run that model from toolbox by using arcpy.ImportToolbox and it still wouldn't execute. If I just copy this line arcpy.CreateRuntimeContent_management("C:\\Jana\\final.mxd", "C:\\Jana\\MobileData", "", "", "DEFAULT", "FEATURE_AND_TABULAR_DATA", "NON_OPTIMIZE_SIZE", "ONLINE", "PNG", "1", "") into python window in ArcCatalog it worked fine without any errors. This is my stand-alone script for running the model: import arcpy arcpy.ImportToolbox("C:\Jana\Jana.tbx") try: arcpy.Jana.Content() except arcpy.ExecuteError: print(arcpy.GetMessages(2)) My toolbox alias is "Jana" and model name (as well as label) is "Content". I have also try to use arcpy.Content_Jana with the same "Failed to execute". Any thoughts? Thanks!

Hi, I have two different questions. First, is there any way to export offline map (current view) directly from the app to Jpeg or pdf? I'm using only local data as tkp, mpk, runtime geodatabase and also runtime geodatabse from feature service. The other question is about the best way to identify (or query the attributes) features in my app - it has to be offline. I'd need to identify my editable layers (the ones from feature service) as well as the non-editable ones from runtime geodatabase (created as runtime content from mxd). Users need to be able to see some attributes of these layers. Should I use Feature Data Form or Hit Testing or anything else? Also the "MapTapped" is already used for selecting editable features for editing geometry, it might be better to have some kind of identify button? Thanks in advance for pointing me in the right direction, Jana

Hi, I followed sample (arcgis-runtime-samples-dotnet/DynamicLayerAddData.xaml.cs at master · Esri/arcgis-runtime-samples-dotnet · GitHub ) on adding raster data. I successfully handled to add my ecw raster format but is there any way to change the order of the added layer? The raster is displaying on the top of all other layer but I'd need it displays on the bottom. Thanks!

Hi, I created offline geocoding with composite address locator according to this sample Geocoding | ArcGIS for Developers . I just used "Single Line Input" in address.Add. Everything works fine in terms of displaying the correct location with the graphic overlay. But the map is not zooming to that location it's just kind of centring. How should I change the code to zoom to the found location? Could someone help me out with it? Thanks!

Hi Mike, Thanks for reply – even though it’s not the greatest news. I’m considering to suggest our client to use our Feature service and solve the editing with extracting the geodatabase before they leaving office and going offline. Just hopefully last question for you: If they extract the geodatabase from feature service and then go offline, will the geodatabase persist when turning the app off and then loading it again. They are sometimes offline in the field for a couple of days. Cheers Jana

Hi Mike, Sorry to bother you, but I have one important question. What I need to do (excluding the legend) is to create an app for Windows Tablets (Windows 8.1). This app should work offline all the time. We need to be able to edit one layer in the field (offline) but there is no need to sync these edits. But this edited layer should be export to shapefile (which will be sending to different client by email). There is no option to use any ArcGIS service – except when developing the app. I was thinking of using the Local service pattern as I could use the geoprocessing task to extract feature class to shp. But now I’ve read that this local services are available only for desktop and not Windows store. So which other options do I have? Because if I’m right you can’t edit shapefile and also you can’t edit runtime geodatabase? I’m pretty confused right now. Cheers Jana

Hi, I have new issue. I'm using local Map service and local Feature service (starting from two different mpk). It always starts without any problems unless I install ArcGis Runtime Toolkit (which I need to display legend in my app). When I install this toolkit through Manage NuGet Packages and start the app I'm getting the error: LocalServer start failed: executable not found (for both service). There is no error in the error list and not even warning. Also when I uninstall that toolkit the services never start again so I have to create new project. Does anyone know what to do? Cheers!

Hi, I'm trying to add legend to my .net app. When install ArcGIS Runtime toolkit through the Manage NuGet package everything seems to work. But when I start my app I get this error: The type 'Esri.ArcGISRuntime.Controls.MapView' exists in both 'c:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS SDKs\DotNet10.2.4\WindowsDesktop\bin\Esri.ArcGISRuntime.dll' and 'c:\Users\Jana\Desktop\FH\RunTime\backup_runtime\local_database\local_database\packages\Esri.ArcGISRuntime.10.2.5.857\sdk\net45\Esri.ArcGISRuntime.dll'. Can anyone tell me how to deal with it? Thanks!
