When uploading a spreadsheet to a hosted table, the initial load lets you choose a timezone (in my case US Central Time). When performing an Update -> choosing the Overwrite Entire Layer option, the time zone reverts to UTC. This causes all dates to shift by one day (in my case since I'm US Central). Is there any way to overwrite the time zone after the hosted table is created? Thanks! Jason

Thanks Robert, good idea! The issue I was having was that the widget manager would only ever return the Adopta widget, and not the the splash widget, so even though it would find the widget config with this.appConfig, if I added the widgetmanager (it wasn't there by default) it isn't able to find the widget using .getWidgetByLabel() . Hopefully this makes sense!

Thanks Robert, I put the code in the widget.js, and it was able to get the widget, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to call the splashWidget.startup() from the button click event in the login.js. Thanks again for your help, it's been a good learning exercise for me and I appreciate it!

Hi Robert, Thanks much for the reply! I tried using the code as above inside the login.js but am getting errors saying that the appConfig property is undefined. Maybe putting this inside the login.js is the wrong place? Will keep trying, as I think I see how it should be working. I'm guessing it should be in the Widget.js for the Adopta widget... Jason

Hi all, I'm trying to call the dijit splash when a user clicks a login on the adopta web app builder app. The app has a nice splash, that we're using as a disclaimer. I'd like to call that exact splash when the user clicks login. I've found the javascript that calls the login, and was able to add some javascript to do a confirm, but I'm using an standard javascript confirm function, and that doesn't let me add html to the form. Any help would be greatly appreciated! The app is http://gis.naperville.il.us/adoptastormdrain Thanks!

Mark, Thanks, I was able to get GeoEvent to start up again without having to do the steps you outlined, but I will do those as well as it should clear up that error. Here is what worked for me: This fix online pointed in the right direction, but was outdated. Many of the files are in new locations for 10.5.1. https://esriaustraliatechblog.wordpress.com/2014/08/12/geoevent-processor-wont-start-up-help/ Shutdown ArcGIS Geoevent Server service from Services panel. This would just hang and eventually time out. Looked at the following file to get the PID of the GeoEvent service: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\GeoEvent\instance\instance.properties From taskmanager, clicked Details tab, find the java.exe with that PID and deleted it. From services panel, shut down ArcGIS Server service Deleted the entire data folder at: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\GeoEvent\data Deleted the Zookeeper folder at: C:\arcgisserver\local\zookeeper Startup ArcGIS Server service in Services - and waited for about 5 minutes or so for it to complete load. Startup ArcGIS Geoevent server service Waited a few minutes and it login page loaded ok. The fixes were all there in the forums, spread out a bit, and outdated with the locations of zookeeper.

Just wanted to add that GeoEvent was functioning ok for over a month with the current configuration. This happened about a week ago. I'm also unable to shutdown the GeoEvent Server service. It times out. I have to kill the process manually, and the associated java.exe just to get it to shut down.

ArcGIS Server on this machine is ok, but whenever we try and access the geoevent server manager page we’re getting a “No service was found” message instead of the login page. The geoevent server can’t start up correctly. I tried several fixes from the forums: verified the license file removed cache and lock files from C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\GeoEvent\data tried completely uninstalling, deleting files from c:\ProgramData\ and then reinstalling In the karaf.log file (attached), I’m seeing this error… 2017-12-15 16:05:44,301 | ERROR | FelixStartLevel | HttpClientService | 100 - com.esri.ges.framework.httpclient - 10.5.1 | Failed to read certificate file at C:\arcgisserver\config-store\machines\AZGEOEVENT2\geoeventExport.pfx.cer: signed fields invalid 2017-12-15 16:05:44,302 | INFO | FelixStartLevel | HttpClientService | 100 - com.esri.ges.framework.httpclient - 10.5.1 | signed fields invalid I also see this entry... 2017-12-15 16:06:00,274 | ERROR | ator-Framework-0 | CuratorFrameworkImpl | 386 - curator-framework - 3.1.0 | Background retry gave up org.apache.curator.CuratorConnectionLossException: KeeperErrorCode = ConnectionLoss The arcgis server is running with a valid third party cert, and I’m not sure why the .pfx file would even be renamed .cer? The other certs in that directory, including the one used for ArcGIS Server are all ok. In arcgis server admin all looks good. You can access arcgis server manager at: https://www.napermaps.com:6443/arcgis/manager You can see from that it’s using a valid cert from Entrust. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great! Unsure where to go from here.

Hi Steve, Thanks for the suggestion. I did change the layer so that the objectid is now visible, but unfortunately I still have the problem. I really think it's the order that the results are coming back and being processed that is the issue. I think the response is actually getting to the browser (though it's not as easy to tell as it is with firefox and using firebug) but the results are actually getting overwritten by the "Searching..." text. I wish there was a way to supress that message altogether. Jason

Hi all, I have a page where the popups are working ok in firefox and chrome and IE9, but not in IE8 or below. Here is the page: http://gis.naperville.il.us/mashups/eab You can use an address like 913 N Eagle St or 400 S Eagle St to see how the site works. Here is the process. The user enters an address and it does a geocode, when it gets a result the following happens: Parcel is selected using the x,y from the geocode Geometry from the parcel is buffered by 30 feet Buffered geometry is used to select trees in the right of way Popup is displayed showing the attributes from the trees that we want to display For some reason, I think the callbacks are causing the popup I want to get overwritten with on that just says "Searching..." I'm not sure where the "Searching..." text in the popup is coming from. I'm assuming it's something that the javascript api does by default since it's not in my code. Any help would be greatly appreciated since the site was supposed to go live a few days ago and I have angry users 🙂 Thanks in advance, Jason Sheldon GIS Coordinator City of Naperville, IL

Thanks Mike, good to know. It's odd though that this same service returns the correct values using the identify task through the javascript api, but through arcgis.com it doesn't. So is it just that popups in arcgis.com don't read domain values for an 9.3.1 map service? Jason

Hi all, I'm configuring pop-ups for my map service: http://gis.naperville.il.us/ArcGIS/rest/services/CycleMap/MapServer For some reason, some of the fields are only showing the coded domain values. For instance, the field Completed should show the words Yes or No, instead of Y or N. What is odd, is that when I setup a different site, where I use the javascript api and use the identify task, the field values show up with the correct domain values of Yes or No, and not Y or N. Do the popups always show the coded values? Jason Sheldon GIS Coordinator City of Naperville, IL
