Hello everyone, I'm currently working on a project to develop rest SOE using java. I added one operation with two parameters x, and y. Is it possible to have the input in the form of dropdown list(where the user chooses a value from a predetermined list)? Thanks, Isra

Jeff, I see a lot of calls to the print service. But no results back whatsoever, wether it's an error or a PDF. When I clicked on one of the first calls in the network tab and then go to the response body, the jobStatus is: esriJobExecuting and then when I see the last calls it says it's esriJobFailed. But it doesn't say why! It's supposed to bring an error message when it catches an error.

Hello everyone, I'm trying to have a print widget in my application. I'm using PrintTask. here's the code: var template = new PrintTemplate(); template.exportOptions = { width: 500, height: 400, dpi: 96 }; template.format = "PDF"; template.layout = "MAP_ONLY"; template.preserveScale = false; params = new PrintParameters(); params.map = map; params.template = template; params.outSpatialReference = map.spatialReference; printTask = new PrintTask('url', { async: true }); And then whenever the user clicks on the print button it will go to the following function function print() { printTask.execute(params, printResult, printError); } function printResult(result) { window.open(results.value.url, "_blank"); } function printError(result) { alert(result); } When I run the application and click on print, it doesn't do anything(doesn't bring an error either) anyone can help please? I would really appreciate it.

Hello, I'm trying to implement a print widget in my application using a geoprocessor I have a print button. every time it's clicked it should go to this function function print() { gp = new Geoprocessor('url'); var Web_Map_as_JSON = ""; params2 = { "Web_Map_as_JSON": Web_Map_as_JSON, "Format": "PDF" }; gp.submitJob(params2, printResult); } function printResult(jobInfo) { gp.getResultData(jobInfo.jobId, "Output_File", displayResult); } function displayResult(results, messages) { window.open(results.value.url, "_blank"); alert(messages); } The problem is that one of the parameters Web_Map_as_JSON should have the map Json string. Is there any function in javascript that can have the Json string of the map?. I tried to do it manually but I get an empty map PDF or an error page.

Hello everyone, I implemented a simple map viewer for time aware layers. it has a time slider. I'm trying to change the start time field to another date field in the map layer. How can I do that? Time Info: Start Time Field: WB_SPUD_DT End Time Field: null Track ID Field: null Time Extent: [1935/01/01 00:00:00 UTC, 2016/01/01 00:00:00 UTC] Time Reference: N/A Time Interval: 5 Time Interval Units: esriTimeUnitsYears Has Live Data: false Export Options: Use Time: true Time Data Cumulative: false Time Offset: null (null)

Robert, Yes it has a timeExtent applied but I can only retrieve it using Layer.timeInfo.timeExtent right? and since the timeInfo returns undefined then I can't get the timeExtent. when I use layer.timeInfo or layer.getTimeDefinition() it both returns undefined. how do I use the setUseMapTime method?

I'm currently working with a time aware layer and I need to get the timeInfo of that layer. I'm using this method to get the time extent getTimeDefinition() and the result is undefined. Although in the mapservice link I can find the TimeInfo section with all the details I need as below: Time Info: Start Time Field: WB_SPUD_DT End Time Field: null Track ID Field: null Time Extent: [1935/01/01 00:00:00 UTC, 2016/01/01 00:00:00 UTC] Time Reference: N/A Time Interval: 5 Time Interval Units: esriTimeUnitsYears Has Live Data: false Export Options: Use Time: true Time Data Cumulative: false Time Offset: null (null) it just tells me it's undefined when I want to get it using this method. am I missing something? please help!

Jake, I'm wondering if there is a way to add a timer for the infoWindow. I inserted links in the content so whenever I hover on a feature, the infoWindow appears but when I go ahead to click on the link inside the content it disapears. I've been looking for a way to add a timer and tried several methods but no luck. Thank you Isra

Thank you that was really helpful. I've been looking for a sample for the points feature and I had no luck. I have two more question though, 1- What if I don't wanna filter the query? I want all the features to appear on the map? 2- Is it possible to filter the query like this query.where = "ROOM_NO = '1'"; And query.where = "ROOM_NO = '13'"; meaning to have it filtered with two statements or even more?

I'm trying to replicate this sample http://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/jssamples/query_hover.html I just replaced the url in the querytask to my own and changes the formatting of the infoTemplate and the filtering of ther query to match my own requirements and the graphics was not showing on the map. then, I changed the symbol type from simplefillSymbol to simple MarkerSymbol because I'm using points not polygons. and this also didn't work. I attached my code to see what changes I did to the original code. help plz!
