Hi Joe, Could you provide some more info on this one, there's been some other reports about standalone table download problems and we're trying to narrow down the issue. Any extra info you can provide would be great. Here's a few questions that come to mind: - Are there any error / warning messages during the job run? - Can you access the tables in the online map before the download? - Could you share the job JSON (Job.ToJson()) after the run. - I'm also wondering about authentication issues; are the tables from hosted services? Thanks, -Greg

In the current version of the API, LocationDisplay is disabled when the app enters background mode. There's an issue in our backlog to change this in future versions, but for now there's no out of the box background location updates for iOS. As a workaround, you can always use the native CoreLocation.CLLocationManager class directly to get location updates when the app is backgrounded and switch back to LocationDisplay when it enters foreground again.

Yep, that's the problem. Point cloud scene layers are not currently supported by the Runtime. They are on the docket for the next release - if all goes well. I'll check the exception message and see if we can give a less confusing experience for unsupported scene layers like this.

It looks like your network name is not correct for that dataset. Instead of "Local_ND" try "Streets_ND" for the network name.

Can you share what's in your scene layer package and how you created it? There are some layers that can go in a scene layer package that the runtime doesn't support as of yet. I suspect unsupported package contents is the case for you, but I would have expected a useful exception message.

You should be able to open an *.slpk file directly with ArcGISSceneLayer like the following: var sceneLayer = new ArcGISSceneLayer(new Uri(@"C:\temp\Test.slpk"));
await sceneLayer.LoadAsync();
var scene = new Scene(Basemap.CreateImagery())
{
InitialViewpoint = new Viewpoint(sceneLayer.FullExtent)
};
scene.OperationalLayers.Add(sceneLayer);
MySceneView.Scene = scene; If the layer fails to load you can check ArcGISSceneLayer.LoadError for the reason.

Glad to hear its working. The vector tile export limit is technically controlled by the service so there's not a general number we can give, but export limits are typically about the same between image and vector services - at least for Esri basemaps. However, since the vector tiles are vector-based and not image-based they tend to be significantly smaller than their image tile counterparts. The service specific vector tile export limit is contained in the maxExportTilesCount of the VectorTileService metadata (REST doc). You can get that by viewing the service URL in a browser or by creating and loading an ArcGISVectorTiledLayer in the Runtime API and checking the SourceInfo.MaxExportTilesCount property.

It looks like the Topo basemap you're referencing is a vector tile basemap. Those are different and have a different download task (`ExportVectorTilesTask`) and download a different format (.vtpk) which may or may not be what you want. The export enabled image tiled version of the Topo basemap is here: https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=eaee8760ed754019a964a6d785613a50 if you want to give that a shot. That should work with the code you have.

Hi Alex, sorry your having this problem. If you give us a little more information maybe we can track it down. Specifically, if you have a small piece of code that reproduces the problem that would help immensely. If not, can you tell us about your app and what parts of the API its using (MapView, SceneView, layer types, SketchEditor, Graphics, Tasks, etc.). We'd also like to know what's happening on the machine when the crash happens (Screen lock / unlock, monitor mode switches, etc.) or is this a truly random crash. Also, since this is likely related to OS and graphics card, could you run `dxdiag` from an offending machine and paste the information here. If the crash happens on different machines are all the machines configured the same?

Mark Collins I ran your reproducer app (thanks for the detailed sample) and was able to reproduce the crash in 100.2.x. We encountered similar problems previously and added a fix to the next version of the Runtime API (v100.3). Running your reproducer referencing the pre-released 100.3 Runtime confirmed that the issue is fixed. The v100.3 release is in the certification stage so it should be out very soon. As you found, there's really no great workaround for this problem. The workaround you mentioned is what I would have suggested but you may have to add some delays to make sure the map is unloaded / reloaded before switching tabs.

That looks OK Chris. The cancelled tasks are from the MapView's internal draw requests that get dispatched to the primary UI thread. When the app closes and the Dispatcher is shutdown any of these DispatcherOperations still in the queue are aborted and throw the TaskCanceledException that you're seeing. Being first-chance exceptions these don't necessarily signify a bug as they're likely handled later. You can safely allow the debugger to ignore these by turning off these exceptions in Visual Studio's Exception Settings. That said, your work-around should also function. My theory on why it doesn't work is that there's not enough time between removing the MapView and shutting down the Dispatcher for the app to clear the dispatcher queue - so some operations still get aborted / canceled. No guarantees, but you could try adding this code after removing your MapView to give the app a little extra time to flush the queue: Dispatcher.Invoke(DispatcherPriority.ApplicationIdle, new Action(() => { }));

The secret lies in the class hierarchy. ServiceImageTiledLayer is an abstract class that implements the basic functionality for fetching map tiles from a remote service. Of course, being abstract you can't instantiate an instance of ServiceImageTiledLayer, you need a concrete class for that. Enter WebTiledLayer - a sealed class (cannot be derived from) that is derived from ServiceImageTiledLayer and provides a concrete class that can be used for generically accessing tiles from a remote service. So, if you have a custom service that provides map tiles you can either use the concrete WebTiledLayer if the tile structure permits. Or, if you need something more custom, you can derive your own class from ServiceImageTiledLayer and override the GetTileUriAsync method and adjust the tile URL structure as needed. See this thread: https://community.esri.com/thread/187238-how-do-i-add-an-wmts-layer for a simple OpenStreetMap example.

I believe you need an ArcGIS Online organizational account to use the world routing service. Are you using IdentityManager to set credentials for the service? I tested with your code and valid credentials and I see routes and distances generated as expected. The 10.2.7 guide for accessing a secure service is here.

Sorry you're dealing with a crash Marco. Could you help us reproduce this by sharing some code on how you switch between the maps. A small reproducer would be best, but a crash dump or a stack trace of the crash would help us get to the bottom of this one more quickly.
