I believe that using the Survey123 widget, you can create a connection between the map and the survey to pass data. I could see you passing the location on the map to the survey record. There are a few fields that would help in this case for recording that information, and you can always "hide" them on the survey itself, so that your users don't see the map, but the information is still recorded on the backend. See this blog post: https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/experience-builder/real-time/using-experience-builder-and-survey123-to-pass-attributes-and-geometry-from-one-layer-to-another/ Similar idea here: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-survey123-videos/need-help-with-survey123-inside-experience-builder/td-p/1030344

Where are you accessing / editing? If it's an enterprise GDB, do you have an sde connection specified in your script? For example, when I'm doing database reconciliation for my versions, many of my arcpy require an input database parameter. I've gotten that message before whenever my script wasn't looking for my DB connection file in the correct location. Since I run this script on a server, I create a connection file to the specific database & store it on the server, where the scripts run with task scheduler can see it. Edit: Arcpro creates these connection files in the individual APRX project file, whereas I believe ArcMap used to put them in a more centralized location. #specify DB connection
sdeConnection = r"C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\ESRI\Server\[DB connection name].sde"
import arcpy
arcpy.ReconcileVersions_management(sdeConnection, "ALL_VERSIONS", "dbo.DEFAULT", "DBO.ParcelTraining;", "LOCK_ACQUIRED", "NO_ABORT", "BY_OBJECT", "FAVOR_TARGET_VERSION", "NO_POST", "KEEP_VERSION", Reconcile_Log_TEST2)
arcpy.Compress_management(sdeConnection)

Another thought: If you are using the list of layers to perform a selection on, doesn't your layers = layers[0] only select the first selection in your list? My first thought would be that you need some sort of for loop to go through each layer in your list and apply your selection. The sample below isn't perfect, but this is what I was thinking. #for each layer in your selection
for layer in layers:
#create a selection & write it to a temp layer
selectedLayer = arcpy.management.SelectLayerByAttribute(in_layer_or_view,
{selection_type}, {where_clause}, {invert_where_clause})
#Write selected features to a new feature class
arcpy.management.CopyFeatures(selectedLayer, 'layer1')

the arcpy.GetParameterAsText is supposed to be used if you are making a tool out of this script. Then it would map to a field in a tool dialog box that your user could input. If you are using the Python window, I *think* your users would still have to manually update the date. If you're going to deploy this for others, I'd suggest going the tool route.

It would help if you could insert your code going forward using the "Insert code sample" button. You open the Aprx before you make the selection. Is the layer you are creating with your "select By attributes" actually getting added to the APRX? The way I'm reading your code, you assign the first layer to your layer variable, and then feed that into your selectbyattribute tool. The reference says: If the input is a feature class or dataset path, this tool will automatically create and return a new layer with the result of the tool applied. Are you sure that new layer is getting added to your APRX? Edit: If you were running this in the Python window in Pro, I think it would show your selection. Since you're running it in a standalone Python script, I think you have to add your selection results to your APRX, maybe by creating a new layer as documented here.

As an update, I did get the where clause to apply at the repeat tag ${Services} but I am still running into an issue where it is showing the parent records, just with no child records. So I'll get every single parent record when I run the template, but only those that fit my conditional statement will populate with the child fields I need. Still working on this!

How are you processing your data? Can you post a Python snippet or something? When I need a portion of a date, I parse it using the pandas package and select the portion of the date I need & store that as a new variable. When I do that, I use a method like this article describes

Yes, at least if you are planning to Enable Sync, such as if you are enabling the consumption of the existing layer in Survey123 Connect. If you are doing it for Survey123 Connect, then the steps are performed in a certain order to enable the supportsApplyEditsWithGlobalIDs setting. See this blog post and this blog post for more on that.

I remember reading that you can display a picture that is in a specific place, i.e. picture in position 4. I'm not sure if you can do a query that ends in a specific string. I was able to get all associated pictures related to a feature to display and the users just cycle through them.

You could try Python - running it in the Python window in Catalog would allow you to do selections against all the layers. If you want to avoid Python, you could manually perform the Query & save the results as temporary layers.

Thank you for your response - sorry for the delay in my reply. I was able to apply it at the ${Services} repeat tag when I was running my report on a first child related table, but then all programs were still listed - most just blank because they didn't have a service with the matching category. I attached the output. I'd really love it it would then only display the programs who have related services within this category. I tried running this template on my services related table (great-grandparent? related table) and it then says that the parent tables are undefined. I updated my template and attached it as well.

Also interested in this response, as it seems silly to give them the ability at the viewer level to geocode, but not save the results.
