I'm attempting to calculate a field to show acres, displayed to 2 decimal places. I've got field A representing area in sq. ft.. I've created a new field B to represent area in acres (to 2 decimal places). When I created field B (for acres) I specified precision of 2. I've attempted both short and long integers for field type. In Field Calculator (for field B) I enter the phrase "A/43560' It calculates the field alright. Problem is, it's returning the answer, but it's rounding to the nearest whole number. (any acreage below 0.5 is displaying as 0) How do I make it display Acres to two decimal places? Thanks much in advance, Dave

Hi, I'm attempting to Join a Table of data to property parcels. I have a Parcel ID Number (PIN) that is common to both the parcel and the parcel data. After joining on the PIN fields, I open the Attribute Table for the Parcels. Ordinarily I would see field names that are a combination of the fields in the two different files. This isn't showing up. The data is not joining. The joining fields are both string (text) and the same length (14 characters). Also, there are no 'spaces' in the field names. I'm stumped. Any suggestions? Dave

I just received a .JP2 file for a town I do mapping work for. I've worked with TIF and SID formats in the past. I'm running ArcEditor 9.3. When I add the JP2, my Table of Contents shows the file, with Red, Green & Blue bands, However... the aerials don't appear in the main window. Anyone know how to load/add JP2 aerial data to a Map Doc? Thanks much, Dave

This is my first time trying to use GDB data. I ordinarily work with Personal Databases (.mdb's) I just downloaded (and unzipped) a GDB from my County. There's data in it. It's 72mb in size. From within a Map Doc, when I Add Data, I can see the GDB. But when I click on it, it says "Failed to connect to database" I'm running ArcEditor 9.3 So... Can I connect to a GDB from ArcEditor? What do I need to do, to be able to load some data from my GDB? Any help appreciated, Dave

I'm currently running v10.2 Trial Versions of ArcGIS Online and Desktop Standard version. (I've just worked thru the ESRI online training video "Smartphone GIS: Capturing Data with Collector for ArcGIS"). That video shows doing File menu > Share As > Service > Publish a Service > effectively publishing a web map to ArcGIS Online from within ArcGIS Desktop My questions: 1. Can I create a service from trial versions of ArcGIS Online and Desktop Standard, without having ArcGIS for Server? ( I'd like to publish a web map without having to copy my features to .shp files). 2. If so, can someone explain the steps. Thanks much, Dave 708-865-0300
