We recently purchased a Trimble R10 receiver to utilize in conjunction with the Collector app, however we are experiencing some issues with the results we are getting. I am unsure if we have our unit profile setup correctly or if we need to have our data in a different projection/coordinate system. Essentially, our client wants the deliverable in NAD_1983_StatePlane_Illinois_West_FIPS_1202_Feet, so that is what our feature classes are in. It is important to note that we are utilizing an ESRI aerial basemap that is in WGS 1984 Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere. Below is how we have the unit currently configured: **Web Map Configuration** 1. Feature Service Data: NAD_1983_StatePlane_Illinois_West_FIPS_1202_Feet 2. ESRI Basemap: WGS 1984 Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere **Unit Profile** 3. GNSS Coordinate System: GCS NAD 1983 2011 4. Map Coordinate System: WGS 1984 Web Mercator Auxiliary Sphere 5. Datum Transformation: WGS_1984_(ITRF08)_To_NAD_1983_2011 Is it possible to accurately collect in our current coordinate system (NAD_1983_StatePlane_Illinois_West_FIPS_1202_Feet) or is that not possible?

I cannot get this to work as a tool in a toolbox. I copied it exactly and it is giving me the error 'NameError: name 'myGDB' is not defined. I have set the tool parameters to Display Name: Workspace | Data Type: Workspace. What am I doing wrong? Below is my script: import arcpy
import os
#Slightly modified from Geonet thread by Blake Terhune titled 'Delete Unused Domains'
# Set workspace
arcpy.env.workspace = arcpy.GetParameterAsText(0)
# Get domains that are assigned to a field
domains_used = []
for dirpath, dirnames, filenames in arcpy.da.Walk(myGDB, datatype=["FeatureClass", "Table"]):
for filename in filenames:
print "Checking {}".format(os.path.join(dirpath, filename))
try:
## Check for normal field domains
for field in arcpy.ListFields(os.path.join(dirpath, filename)):
if field.domain:
domains_used.append(field.domain)
## Check for domains used in a subtype field

for stcode, stdict in subtypes.iteritems():
if stdict["SubtypeField"] != u'':
for field, fieldvals in stdict["FieldValues"].iteritems():

print "{} unused domains in {}".format(len(domains_unused), myGDB)
print domains_unused

After some testing and research I have concluded that this issue arises if the user clicks 'no' when asked the very FIRST time 'to allow the app to access the camera'. Apparently the app only asks that question once so any time after that the user isn't prompted with that question and the app automatically denies access to the camera. I have found that simply uninstalling and reinstalling the app OR upgrading the app will prompt you again to access the camera.

There was an update in February that has caused this issue again. ESRI marked this as a BUG, however it has still gone unresolved for 2 months now. This issue is specific to services published using ArcGIS Server 10.2.2 or later. We have been unable to edit any services on our ArcGIS Server for 2 months now.

We recently upgraded our iPad to iOs 8.3 and now the camera won't connect with the collector app when trying to add an attachment. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Does anyone know if it is on ESRI or Apples side?

Thank you. I have run into an issue. What happens when both tables have entries with the same REL_GlobalID? When we merge the tables and try to join with the merged feature class by the ‘NewTextField’ it will join to the wrong one since they have the same REL_GlobalID. Does this make sense? Trista C. Have you had a chance to document the steps? I am needing to do this for 18 feature classes.

We have the most up to date collector app and iOs8. We have to zoom in to buildings scale usually 1:2,000, however we do a small/medium work area (50-100 MB). I hadn't thought about the iPad going to sleep and will disable that and see if that helps.

Our field crew has been having issues with the disconnected editing on the collector app. When they start the app it takes about 5 minutes for it to sign in and about 5 mins to process every time they collect a feature. Also, every time they try to sync it can take a few hours, only syncs some of the information or doesn't sync at all. This happens regardless if they collect 1 feature or numerous features that day. We have tried syncing during off hours when no one is using the WiFi connection and the database isn't being hit but we still have issues. We have a good internet connection of 30 mbps upload and download.

Whenever we try to edit an existing feature in an online map the pop up doesn't appear. It appears when we ID the feature but once we click 'Edit' it disappears. This just started happening today and we are able to successfully edit using the ArcGIS app for iOs. This makes me believe that it is on ESRI's end and that something is acting up with ArcGIS Online. Is anyone else experiencing this as well?

When using the ArcGIS iOs App on an iPad we sometimes receive the following error below when trying to post an edit: "Method failed.HRESULT = 0x80070057 : The parameter is incorrect. ." Note: We are editing published map services that are hosted on our Amazon EC2 server and accessed through our AGOL Orginization account. Does anyone know what is causing this error?
