Thank you both for the info. @MikeMillerGIS that actually leads me to my next question that I have about prepping to implement my existing data into the utility network. My existing data, while not leveraging geometric networks, roughly adheres to the Water Utilities Information Model. I'm hoping that will make moving the data over pretty easy. I've explored the tasks that come with both utilities foundation solutions, and even though I've read everything I can find about the Create Asset Package Configuration Table geo tool and the D_Configurations table, I'm just not getting what it is I'm supposed to be putting in the Configuration Fields. These are for my new database, so is this where I would specify the fields and aliases for my two different utilities?

I'm trying to start migrating our existing water and sewer features into utility networks. I was considering using the ArcGIS Solutions deployment for their respective utilities but I need clarification before proceeding. It appears that each of the solutions creates it's own geodatabase for it's utility system, which results in some duplication. My question then is if this is simply a condition that I should accept if I want to use the foundation solutions? Is there any inherent disadvantage in shoehorning them both into the same geodatabase? Ultimately, once I get the model tuned, I would want to migrate this to our Enterprise deployment, to allow multiuser editing and data reviewing.

@ChrisFox Thank you. I understand that it's important to ship the solution so that it will cover as many use cases as possible. Sadly because of numerous factors we are something of a petri dish for edge cases and as such I'm just looking to tighten up the numbering so I don't have to go back and edit 90% of the addresses I just created. Using the Address Line method you mentioned, does get me closer. It would be great if I could feed the tool a start value similar to the Sequential Numbering tool. That way when an inconsistency comes up, I can end my sketch and pick back up on a number of my choosing. In order to accomplish this, it seems I could add a new field (myaddrnum) to the address line table so I can expose it for editing, then change the necessary code to test: If(myaddrnum != null) use that as the start value of the second vertex and increment, else grab the number from the road centerline and do as you normally do. Does that seem doable, or is there a lot more to this that I've yet to see? Respectfully, Chris M.

I'm testing the Address Data Management solution and plan to deploy it as soon as I have a solid grasp. The issue I'm having currently is with the Full Address Number that is auto generated in one of several different ways. No matter which method I use, the generated numbers are not in line with the actual numbers. Which means this isn't much of a timesaver if I have to go back and edit each one after I create it. I've tried using the Offset on Left/Right Side of Road and the Address Line Method. The first address I create is generally two to four digits above what I have as my first From Address on my center line. Then gets progressively more out of sync as I go along. Is there anything I can do to make the numbers match up better? Respectfully, Chris M.

I've been the only GIS person for 10 year at the small city I work for. We have recently added a new person, and I would like to know the best way to go about setting us up. It seems all the resources available are for large, enterprise deployments, and I'm having a hard time locating anything geared to my situation. So that's my first question, can someone point me at some good resources? We have already become aware to the limitations of using a file geodatabase in a multiuser environment. I was considering deploying a PostgreSQL database, but since we are such a small shop Enterprise is out of the question. So my second question would be, is there an implementation that would allow use a single database without stepping on each other? I would greatly appreciate any input.

I apologize, I have led you astray. I should have thought about your OP more carefully before I answered. The formatting you want to accomplish needs to be done as a label expression. You can do all sorts of neat things with it, but idea would go like this in Arcade: "<CLR red="255">" + $feature.OBJECTID + "</CLR>" This bit of code would make the field (objectid) I pulled from my data set red. You can see the full list of text formatting tags and how they work here: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/mapping/text/text-formatting-tags.htm You can also use it to build up conditions so that IF a value is greater that x, do this IF NOT do that. It looks like the code is not being interpreted and is being output as a literal text string. I've not messed with HTML inside Pro, I was just going off my web development background. Let me experiment a bit and see if I can get it to work.

Ah for that bit you actually need to add a little bit of CSS styling into the tag =CONCAT("<b style=""background-color:powderblue;"">", some value ,"</b>") The tricky bit here is to make sure that you double your double quotes for the style portion. Normally you wouldn't need to do that, but since you are having Excel create a literal string that has quotes in it, you have to escape them.

Ok, so in your cells you will use the CONCAT function to string together your HTML formatting, like so: =CONCAT("<b>", some value ,"</b>") where some value could be text or a reference to another cell in your spreadsheet. You could even get fancy and put conditions around the formatting such that it would only apply if those conditions are met. Let me know if that is what you are looking for.

I'm not sure if this is "Best Practice" but it works. I would create a second map similar to your existing map, only with the layers you want. Reference the second map in your second frame so they function independently of each other. You can click on a frame, bring up Format Map Frame, and on the Display Options there is a setting for Constraint. You can experiment with the settings, but you will likely want something like "Linked map frame center and scale" to make both of them the same. Hope that helps. Respectfully, Chris

I've been a single person GIS department for the small city I'm employed by for almost 10 years. Our city is growing so I've hired someone to help and purchased a new server. I would like know how people are organizing their GIS server space to work efficiently with ArcGIS Pro in a multi-user environment. Because I was the only GIS person and Pro wasn't around when I started, I just put things where they made sense to me as I went along. Which worked in the short term, but in the long run it's just a mess. This is my opportunity to correct my past errors, and establish a firm foundation for our growing city. I've decided to standardize using a modified Local Government Data Model, and have invested in an ArcGIS Online account. I've attached my initial attempt and would greatly appreciate any feedback. Curtis thank you for your input. I did eventually get this to work by doing the following: The concept I was missing was the use of the Make Feature Layer. I read the documentation, but it wasn't clicking for me. Looking at other Models in this forum and seeing how it is implemented is what finally made the pieces fall into place.

I realized that I didn't have my Parcel Feature as an input for the Intersect. Once I did this, I got it to run, but the Intersect returned nothing. I'm not sure if I have to somehow select the newly created buffer before I run the Intersect in order to get a result. Any insights?
