Hi Thomas, It would be great if you could describe your scenario in more detail. What steps are you taking before you update the symbology? How is Pro installed on your network? Feel free to email me at CGaddam@esri.com. Thanks, Chait

@InPoint, @InPolygon, @InMesh are only added to the @StartRule that is in the main CGA file. There can/should be only one rule marked with @StartRule annotation. Annotations such as @Distance, @Angle are only for showing units or degree sign etc. in the user interface so if you want to show those, then you can use these annotations.

Hi Lessie, Can you confirm that you are working in a scene document and that the point layer you are trying to symbolize is in the '3D Layers' group in the Contents pane. If that is correct, try to refresh the the Symbology pane. To do this, right-click on the layer name and choose the 'Symbology option' or close and reopen the Symbology pane. Follow the instructions here to add a procedural symbol layer. Let me know if this solves the problem. We may have a refresh bug here that we need to fix.

Richard Fairhurst Creating shape markers in ArcGIS Pro will allow you to access each layer of the .emf file and modify specific properties. This is not available for picture markers.

Hi Richard, I took a closer look at the .emf files that you sent, and it seems like the problem exists with the clipping path that is in each of the .emf files. Our current implementation does not consider this. I've submitted an issue for our team to look into this, and we hope to have a solution soon. In order to work around this, you can open the .emf file in Illustrator or Inkscape and remove the clipping path. I've done this with each of the files you sent and reattached an updated set. In the screenshot below I'm using Adobe Illustrator to open the contents of each .emf file in order to delete the clipping path. Once the clipping paths are removed, you can import each file into a corresponding Shape marker in ArcGIS Pro. In the screenshot below I'm using the Insert shape from File... button to browse to each .emf file. Another way to work around this is to use these files to create a corresponding Picture marker in ArcMap. The next step is to save these symbols into an ArcMap style file. Then you can simply import this style file into ArcGIS Pro. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.

Hello Richard, ArcGIS Pro 1.3 does support the ability to use an *.emf file as a shape marker. Can you share the *.emf file that you are trying to import and I will take a look? If not, can you describe how it is built. It is possible to derive symbol rotation from an attribute field. Check out this help topic: http://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/help/mapping/symbols-and-styles/rotate-point-feature-symbols.htm Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!
