So the moral of the story is this - even if ALL your data and ALL your imagery is all in the same projection (in my case State Plane) if I want to use my imagery in the AGOL WAB basemap widget I need to republish those services using the Web Mercator projection EVEN IF I DON'T WANT TO USE ESRI BASEMAPS... that's my understanding, is that correct? Why don't I have to republish my other services then as well (the non-imagery services)? (I don't want to, I'm just trying to understand.) It used to be so simple to create these applications, this imagery thing is kind of throwing a wrench in it. (Just so it's clear, all my data is in the same projection and I am not using caching on any service - imagery or otherwise.)

I would like to know is there's any response from Esri (or any update to that bug ticket) - people don't like extra clicks, especially when this has always worked before... please restore this basic functionality!

Thanks Joe, Someone else mentioned stopping the service so I will give that a try. It has been a while since I have restarted the service so it might just be feeling cranky today??

Thank you for the response Robert. SDE is the owner of the default version. And that is the version of the data I have in my map. I tried changing it to my version but the result was the same. Same errors.

Hi Joe, SDE is the owner of default. Should that matter, since we have a versioned database?

I am cleaning up an attribute table in Advanced Desktop ArcMap version 10.3.1. It is in an SDE database, registered, versioned, etc. I disconnected all other users and attempted to both delete a field and add a field. I kept receiving two different error messages. One said there were locks on the data - even after I disconnected everyone - and the other said I didn't have permission to perform the operation even though I created the data and have full edit priviledges. (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE). Can someone illuminate me to what I am missing? I searched the desktop help but did not find any useful information to trouble shoot my issue. TIA. Cathy

After installing (and uninstalling and reinstalling) and trying to run the ArcGIS Explorer Desktop software several times and getting the error message "ArcGIS Explorer has encountered a serious application error and is unable to continue." every time. At first I though it was because the application is 32 bit and my OS - Windows 7 - is 64 bit. But I noticed in another post a response that said that should not be a problem. So at this point I am out of ideas. Any suggestions would be welcome. Thanks. Actually I "think" I may have found a possible answer. What do you think? I just went to reboot the machine because I had not done that yet and saw there were 107 updates waiting to be installed! Message was edited by: Cathy Raney
