Welp, it turns out I was barking up the wrong tree. The problem was ultimately about licensing of base maps for offline use. The default ESRI base maps aren't available for download at our company, bur our ArcGIS Enterprise portal has a dedicated set of offline maps to use instead. In the end, I think this was more about a lack of documentation on our end, and not a software problem.

I have a newly-created map in our ArcGIS Enterprise Portal, which has been enabled for offline use with Collector for ArcGIS. I am able to view and edit these in Collector while connected, but I am unable to download these maps for offline use in either the android or the iOS version of the apps. In response to suggestions in other posts, I downloaded new, fresh copies of the app on both operating systems just in case. However the problem still persists. in the iOS version before updating, the app threw a "credential required" alert but would not accept my ArcGIS Enterprise login (see image 1). After updating, it simply says "download failed" (see image 2). Meanwhile, in Android, the error is more informative, indicating an invalid token was used (see image 3). Finally, I have double-checked to confirm that indeed, the map itself has been authorized for offline mode on ArcGIS Online (picture 4). Any suggestions would be most welcome.

I have a long picklist of plant species (approx 3500 options to select from) that I have to choose from several dozen times in an ecology survey form. The selection from this question in turn pulls data from another external .csv file to feed various attributes to other calculate fields. When I include this full list in the standard "Choices" worksheet and use the select_one field type, the survey takes AGES to load. To avoid this problem, I have made use of the select_one_external field type and added the required external_choices worksheet. It's worth noting, I forced the choice_filter field by setting my entire list to a constant, since I don't have any applicable cascading select field that would help me thin the list out. This has dramatically reduced the load time for the survey but now the autocomplete pulldown doesn't work! The field shows up in the survey preview but I cannot select it or choose any options. Anybody have any suggestions??

as an additional note: I've attempted the IF() statement using typical logical order precedence and WITHOUT parentheses, but Survey123 Connect threw the following error: ODK Validate Errors: >> Something broke the parser. See above for a hint. Dependency cycles amongst the xpath expressions in relevant/calculate Result: Invalid My formula was built as follows: if( (${tree_3_dom}= 'yes' and ${tree_4_dom} = ${tree_3_dom}) or ${tree_4_dom} > ${tree_cover20} or sum(${tree_1_cover_calc}, ${tree_2_cover_calc}, ${tree_3_cover_calc}, ${tree_4_cover_calc}) < ${tree_cover50}, 'yes', 'no')

I'm having trouble finding the correct syntax for series of and/or conditions within an IF() calculation. how do AND and OR operators group naturally, and do parenthetical groupings parse correctly when Survey123 does calculations? In other words: would the following result in valid syntax for something like the following: IF( (A and B) or (C and D), [return x], [else return Y] ) obviously this is simplified, but I'm trying to build a calculate question based on several combined inputs and other calculations.
