Hello all. I would also like to report that things began to work suddenly on their own. ESRI staff did a great job trying to troubleshoot but was unable to provide a specific reason as to why this happened. The recommendation was to provide an update to my ticket if this behavior starts up again.

Thanks for the response Tim. I have an open case with ESRI currently for this but in my opinion it is related to the tile packages for the basemaps. I have multiple maps with different base maps that have similar invalid URL errors. These were all working a few weeks ago. No errors on the server logs that I can see when the invalid URL error pops up. I'll let you know what I find out. Brian

We receive errors when failing to download: Invalid URL Your connection reset by peer Error invoking service, connection reset We have successfully tested and downloaded maps while using wifi/LTE on the following ISPs: AT&T wifi, WOW, Sprint LTE Failed using: Spectrum Time Warner and T-Mobile LTE I have a ticket open with ESRI. We are using Portal for ArcGIS with tiled aerial imagery from AGO.

Does anyone receive an error when downloading a map for offline use in Portal? We have multiple maps pointed to ArcGIS online tile imagery. We used the steps to provide this access to aerial imagery using this url: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/collector/windows/create-maps/offline-map-prep.htm The error reads "Invalid URL" The map download failure seems to be intermittent. For example, these downloads for offline use were working up until this week with no issue. This week, suddenly we are receiving errors on our maps when trying to download. Some users are able to download without issue though...here are some of the successes and failures: Successes Download fine using iPad or iPhone on wifi connection using ISP WOW Download fine using iPhone using Sprint LTE Failures Download failed using same iPhone above, only on wifi using ISP Spectrum Time Warner Download failed using iPad using ISP Spectrum Time Warner Download failed using iPad using TMobile LTE Then, late last night, around 11 EST the failure with the iPad and iPhone connected to wifi Spectrum, worked fine. I was trying to download in multiple maps in the same general area all through testing. Now the error has returned. Has anyone else experienced this lately? Is it related to ISPs? This is something new that I have not experienced before. Thanks for any help!

Hello, I have an autocomplete field which acts as the lookup for a pulldata calculation in a survey. When I save the survey, it gives me the following error: ODK Validate Warnings: XForm Parse Warning: choice value [my choice] is too long; max. suggested length 32 chars Problem found at nodeset:/html/body/select1[@appearance=autocomplete][@ref=Survey_1t_test/plant_common_name]/item/value With element <value> Any help is appreciated. Please note that "my choice" is actually another choice. I chose not to show due to project restrictions. The actual choice is 36 characters long. I thought that when using pulldata, you could set the field type and length in the survey to avoid any issues such as these. My current field length is set at 300. I believe that this error is causing all my select_one yes_no fields to select both yes and no at the same time...which is throwing the whole survey out of whack. Thanks for any help. Brian

I have a similar issue. When the user clicks through to the next question using a "yes" or "no", but then backs out of that line of questioning, the blank integers that are in a required field are sent as zeros with the survey instead of staying null. Is there something that can be done to prevent this from happening?

Hello. My field teams are reporting an accuracy of 6m in their Collector App, but the GNSS app is showing <1m. I recall seeing something about this in a blog post a while back and was wondering if the field team should trust the GNSS app or the Collector app when confirming GPS accuracy. They are paired to Trimble R1 GPS units. Thank you. Brian

James, I tested out the steps you shared on the call a little while ago. I have a test survey, we’ll call it “Test 1”. I am pointing this survey to our feature class in the sde (basically this survey was created backwards – created the survey first, then published it to portal, etc. I know, not ideal but we have 20+ surveys that have been created that way.) I created a new survey from that feature service. I called this one “Test 2”. This survey looks similar to Test 1, but the submission URL is different and looks more appropriate, like the one you shared on the call. I copy this URL and paste it into the excel sheet for Test 1 and republish the survey. I go to my device running version .71 and refresh the survey. I then collect new data, hit send, and still receive the code 400. I also tried to create a brand new survey from the feature service, published that to Portal, downloaded it to my device, and still receive the Code 400 error “unable to complete operation”. Am I missing something? I thought the submission URL was our issue but this is definitely a step in the right direction. When I copy/paste that submission URL into my web-browser, I receive a “you do not have permissions to access this resource or perform this operation. Error 403” – I think this was something we were experiencing yesterday and Paul and I forgot to mention it on the call. Thanks! Brian

Our surveys are having this same issue (code 400) in Portal. The last version of the Survey123 app would pass along the surveys just fine. The field users updated their apps, and now we receive the code 400 error. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks James! So even if the URL doesn't technically have a # in it, the fact that the data from a field in Collector pulling over to a field in Survey123 causes this issue. I appreciate the feedback.

Confirmed. I took out the # from the record in the feature service in collector and everything worked out fine for the ones that were populating at 0,0 before.
