The big one for us on the enterprise 11 is that we are no longer allowed to publish services from ArcMap only ArcPro but this is well documented so I am sure you know this already.

The ArcGIS Solutions that you can easily access from PRO use Hosted feature layers and Views in them. But this raises some questions that hopefully someone with a little more knowledge can give me some insight. Is it better to continue to use the hosted feature layers as deployed in the solution or to replicate in my SDE databases and publish directly to my Portal federated server? I am not moving large amounts of data back and forth and editing the data not an issue. I know this is not a strait-forward answer and really may be situation dependent but just trying to get a feel for what is working for other folks. In most (all) cases I am modifying the schema of the deployed solution to work with my data. Is anyone using Hosted feature layers if they have access to a server and if so for what? Thanks for any insight and have a flipping fabulous day. Bob

So I finally figured it out took me a while and it was a noobie mistake on my side using portal. I assumed incorrectly that portal was handling all traffic to the server once you federate the two so I only had IT open the Portal web adaptor URL to the outside I did not make the Server side web adaptor available outside of the firewall through my reverse proxy that is why things were behaving differently between the two. So I recently started migrating from a server fed ArcGIS Online set up to trying to do everthing through the internal portal and am seeing some weirdness. I am using Enterprise/Portal 10.7 installed with a Single machine deployment that was originally installed at version 10.6 and with the enterprise builder install package. I am unable to create hosted feature layers from outside my organizations fire wall, I get the error: Unable to load https://blablabla/server/rest/admin/services/Hosted/TestIt/FeatureServer/addToDefinition status:404 I also am having issues, I am assuming same reason, where in order for a feature layer to be accessed outside of the firewall the Map Image Layer for the service in portal has to be shared to the world while the feature layer service can maintain sharing to just to the individual group/portal. Has anyone else seen this weirdness?

I am relatively new to an Enterprise deployment, in the past, I have published to my Arc Server and consumed the services via AGOL. I have been using ArcPro off and on for over a year and started messing around and testing ArcGIS Solutions. I in the past, because of service credits, not experimented with Hosted Feature Layers in AGOL so I have not put in the leg work to know the particular ins and outs of working with feature layers. Am I better off using the same workflow as before of creating the data sets on my SDE and publishing to the Server and consuming the service in an ArcGIS Solution or use a Hosted Feature Service? My guess from what I have gathered is that depends on the number of Schema modifications that are required to the data sets that come with the ArcGIS Solution. It appears that it is much more difficult to do a schema change on a Hosted Feature Layer than on an SDE dataset. I am just curious if there is a lot more to it than that? Thanks

Good Morning, So I am new to pro but I would have to say that the COGO Functionality is highly lacking at the new release. I have been entering traverse data and using cogo tools since release 6 on a unix machine and would like to say major ball dropped on the COGO side in PRO. I do not use the Parcel Fabric and have no plans migrating that way I have always uses the tools that ArcMap provided to do my parcel editing. Proportion Ground to Grid Correction Offset Line culdesac cogoarea Heck I use the curve calculator when I am missing data all the time. ARCpro does a great job making serving data and tools easier but the have forgotten about the people who edit and create the data in the back office on a day to day basis. Please do not forget us creators of data and improve the cogo functionality in pro. the formats for entering the data above suck you try entering a 300 leg traverse off an old document using those methods take you a week. 89.4523-1 400 should be the only entry needed to create a line with a bearing of N 89 deg 45 min 23sds E a distance of 400 feet. negative and positive radius where did that come from I have received tons of information from surveyors about 27 years worth and I have never seen curves identified as a negative or a positive radius. please bring all COGO functionality in. Thanks

Sorry new to Web App Builder and these are probably very newbie questions but I am going to ask anyways. Does anyone know if it is possible when adding text with the draw widget to make the text be Multiple line text? Same goes for the Map Title with the Print Widget. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
