Thanks so much, we'll take a look at these options and see if they're viable for updating the services. If so, I'll be sure to mark this solved. Appreciate your help!

Thank you @MarceloMarques and @Scott_Tansley for the information! I'll definitely ask about the DNS option, it would be nice to avoid changing filepaths altogether. For the arcpy method, does the update have to be done in the APRX used to publish the layer? Or can we change the connection path on the service itself, maybe using the ArcGIS API for Python?

Hi there, We have a number of referenced services that point to a shapefile or GDB on our network file storage. The storage hardware is being updated soon and IT has let us know that the filepath will need to change from '\\server1\arcgis' to '\\newserver\gis' and we'll need to point all referenced services to that new location. Is there a way to reliably automate the filepath update for these referenced services without having to manually republish them? Thanks!

Talked with Esri support recently and they let me know this is intentional: "Starting from version 3.1, it is now a requirement to create projects from custom templates in a new folder. Therefore the option to not create a new folder was disabled. This measure has been implemented to prevent data loss and ensure the integrity of your project data. In the past, if a new folder was not created when multiple projects were created from the same template in the same location, there was a risk of overwriting the data provided with the template. This meant that any previous edits made to that data would be lost. "

@AzinSharaf It's a custom APTX we've been using for about 3 years now. Only recently saw this issue appear.

Interesting update on this. We are running Pro 3.0.2 on one server and can uncheck that box. However, Pro 3.1.2 on our other server does NOT allow "create a new folder for this project" to be unchecked. Both servers are starting with the same template APTX file, both versions have "create a folder for the project" disabled in the APRX Options:

We're seeing this also in Pro 3.1.2 when an APRX has a lot of maps and layouts stored. I tried removing feature services, large shapefiles, even turned all the map layers off and exported a blank layout... The only thing that helped was saving to a new APRX and removing a bunch of the maps and layouts. To note, we are also running Pro 3.0.2 on a different server and the exact same APRXs do not have any delays in exporting PDFs. Takes about 30 seconds to export in Pro 3.0.2 and 5+ minutes in Pro 3.1.2

@NathanDavis784 Thanks for the reply! Esri support mentioned this method but said it's not recommended because they can't verify the dashboard will work correctly after changing the JSON. It'd be great if they could provide a recommended workflow for pushing updates to production. Hearing that it actually works is encouraging though! We'll have to test it and see if it's an option in the meantime.

We have Dashboards in ArcGIS Enterprise that need occasional maintenance or added functionality. Right now the only way to actually make changes is to directly edit the dashboard in production, making all changes and doing all testing in a single push. We can't save any progress until completely done because saving commits changes to the production version. It'd be great to have a workflow that allows us to: - Save a copy of our production dashboard (this already exists) - Make needed updates/changes to the copy and test (also exists) - Directly overwrite the production dashboard at its current URL with the updated version

Looks like the issue persists in Pro 2.9.1 It would be really helpful to publish a standalone table that references the enterprise GDB so updates made to the table are shown in the service. Can this be done?

Hi everyone, Right now our company is working with static shapefiles, using NAD83 State Plane or UTM projections depending on the location of the data (US, Canada or Mexico). I'd like to put all related information, e.g. wind turbine locations across all our projects, into a feature class within an enterprise GDB so there's a single source to maintain and to enable serving through ArcGIS Enterprise. The analysts would then use these FCs instead of shapefiles for their day-to-day work in Pro. The GDB data would be in WGS84, the APRX would be in a local state plane or UTM projection. If we do continue on this path, how much potential error is introduced when working with data in GCS WGS84 in a Pro map with a State Plane projection? I know Pro projects on-the-fly so things line up visually but there's some distortion, correct?

Hi there, We currently have a tool that uses the Extract Landscape Source Data service to download NWI and NHD hydro data for a given area of interest. We've been recently running into issues accessing the data (fails to download) and the service now appears to be deprecated. A comment at the bottom of the page says the layers are moving to feature services, are those up and running? Thanks, Brendan
