This is separate to the original topic but as it happens I did experience the behaviour that @DuncanHornby and yourself are describing and raised it with ESRI - they have logged it as a bug under BUG-000163460 and BUG-000162878 my issue was specifically with hosted feature layer inputs to the export features and export table tools. The bugs are listed as fixed in 3.3, my solution was to revert back to 3.1. An alternate solution proposed by ESRI was to export the hosted feature layers to a local geodatabase first and then alter the field map. I raised the duplicate field map inputs from the original topic with ESRI and was told the behaviour was expected, I did not pursue it any further.

In Pro 3.2 -- When running the Export Features tool on a feature layer with a table join (validated 1-1) the field map is stating that the fields from the join table have two source fields and it looks like the source field is being duplicated in the dialog. Anyone else seeing this? Export works as expected (action is set to First) I just think it's a little odd. In Pro 3.1 I just get one source field which is what I'm expecting.

I have a support case open and will update if anything is resolved. In the meantime I've reconfigured the tool in all of my active models to work in 3.1. If you are able to reopen your projects and models in 3.0 then the tools should open with their original, working, configuration. I've made a note of them in 3.0 then set them up again in 3.1. Not the best solution and certainly time consuming but its the best I could come up with to get them working ASAP

'reset' was a poor choice of word on my part... I've opened the models up in 3.0.2 and they are configured as expected, it's only in 3.1.0 that the parameters have been removed and the expression type changed. Looks like some sort of compatability issue to me? There is a new section in the 3.1 help page regarding an optional sql expression in the fields parameter explanation. Tool in 3.0.2: Tool in 3.1.0

Could be that you need enable the Preserve Global IDs environment setting when exporting to fgdb. Assuming that you are joining on globalid and parentglobal id fields? You could also set up the join in desktop before exporting.

Hi, I use the Calculate Fields (multiple) geoprocessing tool in multiple model builder models. After updating to 3.1 each instance of the tool has had its 'Fields' parameters removed and the 'Expression Type' parameter reset to 'SQL' from 'Python 3'. I can't be certain that the update has caused the issue, but they were all working fine pre-update. I've tried restoring my toolboxes to earlier versions but this has not resolved the issue. Could be something to do with the enhancement to the fields settings in the tool? Has anyone else experienced this?

If you want to export to excel using altered field names you will have to export the view you have created from ArcGIS Pro/ArcMap. Survey123 Web will not export the view, it will export from the survey hosted feature layer. I do not know about exporting Reports.

As far as I am aware the Survey123 website will export the survey to excel using the values specified as labels during design (or possibly bind::esri:fieldAlias values if you specifed them in the desktop builder) . And if you export from the item details page in AGOL field names are used. You could: create a view of your survey hosted feature layer in AGOL alter the field display names of the view load this layer into ArcGIS pro Run the Table to Excel tool with the layer as the input and making sure the 'Use field alias as column header' box is checked The view will be linked to your surey hosted feature layer and will update as your survey gets new responses. See: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/create-hosted-views.htm and describe each field section of: https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/work-with-fields.htm

Hi, I should be able to update the maximum value in the data range being used to symbolise a point layer using the colours and amounts (size) method (manual interval), right? Because unless I'm being dense - perfectly possible - I can't. I'm using the new map viewer symbolising with an integer field. I can change the method (e.g. from manual to jenks and back) and the upper value will update. The problem is my upper value will increase each day. I'm using the symbolise values out of range option as a workaround

Hi, One of my popup expressions is preventing my popups opening in Field Maps running on iOS. The expession executes properly in the web map builder and in Field Maps running on Android. On iOS the user selects a feature and the Popup opens with a warning sign indicating that an expression is preventing the popup from properly loading. The expression takes an ID value from the selected feature's attributes and uses it to create a feature set from a table containing contact information. It then iterates through each feature in the set and builds a properly formatted contact string from the attributes (newlines are added, Null values are removed). so field name in feature set: Name // Street // Town // County // PostCode value: JD Bloggs // Some Street // Some Town // NULL // PC24 becomes 'JD Bloggs \n Some Street \n Some Town \n PC24' I've included the expression below, you'll have to excuse the scripting . As I say it does work on android and in the web map builder (old and new). I have a few other expressions set up on my layer and these do work on iOS. (My portal variables are excluded) Has anyone else had similar problems? var featureID = $feature.treTargetSiteID;
// create feature set from contact table using its portal ID
// return all fields with no geometry (it has none anyway)
var fsContacts = FeatureSetByPortalItem(portal, contactTableID, contactTableSubLayer, ['*'], false);
// build filter statement from feature and feature set ID
var filterStatement = '@featureID = tarTargetSiteID';
// return features from the feature set which match the filter statment (return new feature set)
var fsRelatedContacts = Filter(fsContacts, filterStatement);
// sort related features by the date they were added
var fsRelatedContactsSort = OrderBy(fsRelatedContacts, 'conDateAdded DESC');
// create emtpy array to store tidied contact features
var contactsTidy = [];
var contactPopupString = '';

Hi, I've attached a cut down version of the xlsx form / associated media isolating the problem I am having. The 'Additional' directory inside the zip contains: - the arcade attribute expression I am using in my map popups to open the survey in the S123 app (text file) - two examples of the urls built by the expression above (text file) - the html I use to construct the attribute popup I've tested this version of the form in the S123 app. Version 3.14 reproduces the problem - the second field attribute from the url is not passed into the survey. Version 3.13 is fine - both attributes are passed. The question accepting the second parameter from the URL does have relevance controlled by the response from first parameter - so that could well be it. I'm running Android 11. So far the surveyors reporting the problem are also on Android, however we don't have many on iOS. Hope that helps, Thanks, Andy. p.s. my external select csv contains commas, I know this goes against reccommendations but I forgot to remove them from the survey so have reproduced them in the cut down version.
