Through a tech support ticket with Esri, I confirmed that the user could not replicate the popup issues on a different computer (ie popups worked for him on a different computer in Chrome, as well as a different browser on his own computer), so after uninstalling/reinstalling Chrome the issue went away. The user and I had the same version of Chrome, but he did have some OS/security updates pending so perhaps that caused the issue? Regardless, it seemed to fix the issue (for now, or until it happens to someone else!).

@PamelaLocke1 Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue with a single user. Works in Firefox for him, but not in Chrome. Worked fine in Chrome up until today. And it works fine for me. Thanks!

Peggy, did you ever figure out why this was happening? I'm having similar issues modifying an existing domain for a deployed solution using the deployment tool tools. I'm getting a different error but my hunch is that they're related. I can add new fields, add a new domain with new values, but I can't modify an existing domain in a solution. It tells me (via server logs) that the service.../mapserver can't be found. The tool points to the feature server and I can't change that... I'm just not understanding what's happening. Thanks!

This is also a big deal for us. For us though, the entire map was fading out, including the imagery, which I realize now after seeing this post was because we were using our own imagery as a service rather than the Esri basemap imagery. I got around this issue by moving the imagery to the basemap in Portal 10.6.1, so at least the imagery doesn't fade out, which makes it still usable in sunlight for us. But the vector feature layers still fade out. My hunch is that it was developed with the thought process of adding a transparency to the layers to see imagery underneath (?) while editing but that can be accomplished in the map itself, if the user wants/needs that. Definitely looking forward to a fix for this in future releases!

Has anyone found a solution for this? I'm running Pro 2.4.0 and publishing to Portal 10.6.1. When I turn off fields in the field view they are still available in the rest endpoint and as a result, the map viewer. If I turn them off in ArcMap and publish the service, the fields are NOT available in the rest end point, and thus securely hidden. I'd like to have some public content served up from my internal enterprise GDB but I need to disable some of the fields. Yes, a database view would work but I'd rather not clutter up my database with additional items just to accomplish this (seemingly) easy security fix - especially when it works from ArcMap 10.4.1. Thanks!
