Good topic! We use No.2 for server our authoritative content to end users but struggling to identify a use case of No.1 in our team ever since this functionality was released back in 10.7.1. It seems like No.1 has limitations - no control over styling or pop-up configuration, can't publish spatial views. Perhaps, No. 1 is better suited for extremely urgent publishing from EGDB to spin up apps that don't requiring any use of APRX for controlling the layer configurations.

If available, I would put in ticket with ESRI Support team. I would also check if you don't have any schema locks coming from map services.

This is super frustrating. Please Please add this functionality in the next release. We can't use GDB replication if we don't have the tools to manage them.

I am looking to simply my life in ArcGIS Pro 2.7.1 while managing schema changes in replica. Any clues or suggestions? I don't see the same tools that we have in ArcMap.

It was suggested to include this idea on GeoNet during one of the hybrid technical session at ESRI UC 2022. In order to monitor health of ArcGIS Managed datastore and take proactive measures, it would be very valuable for system admin to get notified when a creator user uploads large file (over 2 gbs) on Portal.

It seems very counterintuitive to recreate the replica to add a new feature class. Please help GDB admin to save time by including a functionality in Pro to add new feature class to existing replica without recreating the replica completely.

Thanks, Mike! Please see my reply below: In these lines of code, 'CONS_ST' is referenced 2x while 'DBNUMBER' is not referenced. Is this by design? RC: No. This is an error on my part. Removed the extra line. Is it possible 'DBNUMBER' is meant to be referenced, but the 2x 'CONT_ST' is causing confusion, and that is the reason for the error? RC: I am not referencing 'DBNUMBER' because that attribute field not required to be updated.

Hello, We have two feature classes A & B in enterprise geodatabase environment. They are participating in a relationship class. A - Projects B- Sewer upgrades Our goal/requirement is to automatically update the common attributes on existing features in B if the same attribute fields are updates in A. To accomplish this, base on the example available here, I came up with following (immediate calculation rule on A): //s1 - get all the features from sewer upgrades feature class
var destination = FeatureSetByName($datastore, "GEO_DB.ENG_SD.SewerUpgrade", ["DBNUMBER","TECH_REV", "CONS_ST", "CONS_ED", "EST_CON_DUR", "STATUS"], false);
//s2 - get dbnumber edited in the projects developments feature class
var dbnumber = $feature.DBNUMBER;
//s3 - filter feature based on the existing edit
var match = Filter(destination, "DBNUMBER = @dbnumber");
//s4 - update records in sewer upgrades
var sewerupgradelist = [];
var counter = 0;
var numfeatures = Count(match);
if (numfeatures > 0) {
for (var feature in match) {
sewerupgradelist[counter] = {
'OBJECTID' : feature.OBJECTID,
'attributes' : {
'CONS_ST' : $feature.CONS_ST,
'CONS_ED' : $feature.CONS_ED,
'EST_CON_DUR' : $feature.EST_CONS_DUR,
'TECH_REV' : $feature.TECH_REV,
'STATUS' : $feature.STATUS
}
}
counter++
}
return {
'result' : numfeatures + ' sewer upgrades features found.',
'edit' : [{
'className' : "GEO_DB.ENG_SD.SewerUpgrade",
'updates' : sewerupgradelist
}]
}
}else {
return 'No features found under sewer upgrade with matching DBNUMBER.'
} While there are no validation errors, ArcGIS Pro comes up with following error during testing: Any help in resolving the issue will be appreciated.

Here is the complete and working script : //s1 - get features from projects developments feature class
var origin = FeatureSetByName($datastore, "PROJECT_DEVELOPMENTS", ["DBNUMBER","TECH_REV", "CONS_Q", "CONS_YR", "CONS_DUR"], false);
//s2 - get common ID from newly added feature
var dbnumber = $feature.DBNUMBER;
// s3 - filter feature based on common ID
var match = Filter(origin, "DBNUMBER = @dbnumber");
var matchfeature = first(match);
// s4 - update TECH_REV, EST_OCC_QTR, EST_OCC_YR, EST_CON_DUR field in sewer upgrades
if (matchfeature != null) {
return {
"result" : {
"attributes" : {
"EST_OCC_QTR" : matchfeature.CONS_Q,
"EST_OCC_YR" : matchfeature.CONS_YR,
"EST_CON_DUR" : matchfeature.CONS_DUR,
"TECH_REV" : matchfeature.TECH_REV

Thanks for your reply and sharing documentation on the same, Ed! Yes, basically, I want to copy values from X to Y based on common ID. FC X = Polygon (project development) FC Y = Line (sewer upgrades) After reading few technical blogs - (https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/data-management/attribute-rules-and-group-templates/ , https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-pro/data-management/advanced-gdb-attribute-rules-editing-external-features-with-attribute-rules/) , with my limited knowledge of Arccade expression language I build following logic but running into issue with line 12. Here is the expression that I came with so far for FC Y to copy values for TECH_REV from FC X based on common ID - DBNUMBER. After user draws lines for sewer upgrades and populate the DBNUMBER, I want this rule to fire up and get the value for TECH_REV from FC X. //s1 - get features from projects developments feature class
var origin = FeatureSetByName($datastore, "Project_Developments", ["DBNUMBER","TECH_REV"], false);
//s2 - get common ID from newly added feature
var dbnumber = $feature.DBNUMBER;
// s3 - filter feature based on common ID
var match = Filter(origin, "DBNUMBER = @dbnumber");
var matchfeature = first(match);
// s4 - update TECH_REV field in sewer upgrades
return matchfeature.TECH_REV;

We have two feature classes in enterprise geodatabase (SQL Server). Let’s say - feature class (FC) X. FC Y. They are participating in a relationship class (1 – m). FC X is origin and FC Y is destination. We are using ArcGIS Pro 2.7. There is requirement to auto populate some common fields between FC X and FC Y one it is populated in FC X (origin). Is this possible to set it up using out of box solution (e.g. attribute rule – custom arcade expression calculating/copying values from FC X to FC Y based on the relationship class) Any feedback related to developing a technical solution closely relating to this requirement will be appreciated.

Agreed that Append GP tool is the right tool for appending new data. For updating existing records- take a look at this documentation https://desktop.arcgis.com/en/arcmap/latest/manage-data/tables/relating-the-attributes-in-one-table-to-another.htm You may able to accomplish this by creating first Relate between FC and Standalone table in map document. Afterwards, you can use select by attribute followed by calculate field.

Hello, Is there a quick way to gather a list all map services in CSV file using ArcGIS pro client GP tools or programmatically arcpy module or ArcGIS REST API by authoring client - Arcmap vs Arcgis pro? The main objective is to identify services that are published using ArcMap client ONLY. We have ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1 with ArcGIS Pro 2.7.

Hello, I need to identify list of registered map/feature services (and bonus - hosted feature services) that are published using a source from enterprise geodatabase feature class programmatically. Now, as GDB admin, I understand that we can achieve these by identifying the schema locks but we have disabled all the schema locks for all the feature classes due to the flaws (storing feature classes in feature datasets without any requirements of geometric, topology,etc) in existing enterprise geodatabase model. Basically, a python script that takes an input the name of the feature class and outputs the list of registered map services (and bonus - hosted feature services) by checking the service configuration using the input feature class. I am just wondering if anything like this exists/shared out by ESRI technical staff on this community. Thanks for your help!
