Jonas, When you say your system reboots, do you mean your entire computer or just the ArcGIS program? Any way you can download the data you are trying to access? I would also double check to make sure the data that you are trying to access doesn't require an additional subscription like the data from ArcGIS Living Atlas. Sorry if this seems like general troubleshooting steps, I don't have a really good idea on what would cause this. Hopefully someone a bit more knowledgeable will catch this thread.

If your data is being hosted as a Feature Layer, you should be able to add a field and perform calculation on it. If you go to your Feature Layer -> Data -> Context Menu on the top right of the data -> Add Field -> Click on the new fields header -> Field Calculator. You should be able to populate the new field with the data you want with this method. Here is a picture of what it looks like when you have the Context Menu open. I hope this helps! - Jacob Watson

I'm afraid I cant help out with anything super specific or technical but as a general troubleshooting step, have you looked at your organization security settings (If you are apart of one). Under the security setting for organizations in ArcGIS Online, there is a selection that only allows HTTPS. I found I had to deselect this options when attempting to add data from a non HTTPS server to an Online Map. Here is a picture of the setting I am talking about. Hope this helps! - Jacob

Make sure all the items that you are trying to show are not a premium content of some kind. If all the items are your own, I would check the sharing setting to make sure everything is set for public.

Meric, As far as I can tell, they do not cost any credits to use. I have a simply expression to shorten address when being displayed on my map and when I am examining my credit cost I can not see any credits going towards expression use only storage of hosted layers. This expression is extremely simple so if more complicated expressions takes credits, I will not know. Hope this helps! - Jacob Watson

Hello all, after talking to ESRI support the reason for this issue to happen was resolved. Turns out like many of the issues I face, it was my lack of understanding of how the tool worked. When setting level of detail, I failed to understand that this was representing the different amount of scales it would load the tiles on. So by using the level of detail of 10 I was creating my own issue. So if anyone else is having a problem like this go check package detail and see what scales you set for it. The higher the level of detail the more scales it will produce the tiles at. Thank you, Jacob

Hello, it seems that I have been having a great deal of trouble attempting to create a Map Tile Package to be used on an online map. My goal is to create a Map Tile Package that includes Parcel Dimension information, Lot Numbers, and Subdivision Names. I am hoping by creating a Package containing this kind of information I can remove the layers I have now that are currently showing this information. These layers are not exactly huge but neither is our credit budged and the amount of credits being used is not sustainable. As of now, I have created and published a Map Tile Package to ArcGIS Online and added to an online map. This is where my problem starts. When I add it to or view it on an online map, nothing loads in. If I zoom out to a higher scale, parts of the tiles would start to pop in but not the entire package. If I zoomed out to view the continental United States, I would see the entire package but zooming in would cause the tiles to vanish once again. I am at a lost on how to proceed farther, I went through the process again of creating a Map Tile Package through Pro and I still had the same issue. I am using Pro 2.4.3 using the Create Map Tile Package Tool with all the data being on a local drive. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are you storing your layers on your computers local drive or is it being stored somewhere else? I had a problem like this and solved it by migrating all the data I was trying to publish to my local drive.

Hello, I have a map on ArcOnline that shows the counties TIF parcels and districts. As of today IT took down an old server that use to be used to host files for ArcOnline. One of the layers that I used on my TIF map was one of those files that was hosted on the server. My problem now is that my map will not work in the web application and the layers will not appear when loading the map to edit. When the map is opened to edit a box stating the layer can not be connected to will appear. The layer itself will not be under content and as such I can not edit it. I attempted to delete the layer to see if that would force ArcOnline to not use the file but that did not work. Any idea how I can get this layer out of my map? Thank you, - Jake

It seems the simplest solution is always the best solution. Selecting the Keep Original Features options when uploading fixed the problem. Thank you for exploring this more with me. I was just overthinking it completely. Thanks for all the help!!

Sure, I can share the file. I do not see a way to host a file in this reply so hopefully this google drive link will work.

Joe, This method did work. I was hoping to avoid hosting a layer this small. Any ideas on how to fix it so I could upload with out hosting? I can live with having to host this layer if there isn't a reasonable method of fixing it.

Hello, I am attempting to upload a shapefile to be included in an online map I am creating. Everytime I upload this specific shapefile, the polygons will lose a point. This only happens when adding the file to ArcOnline, when viewing the shapefile from ArcGIS the shapefile is fine. I have attempted to upload the shapefile a couple of times. I have tried naming the Zip file different, make new Zip files, and Exporting the Shapefile from a new MXD. This is the first time I have ran into this problem. Has anyone else experienced this and have a solution? I will include images of the issues to help show what exactly I am talking about. The first one being the correct and whole shapefile. The second being the broken one that is being shown on the map when uploaded. Thank you
