Morning All I am attempting to consolidate labels into a single label. Example: In my address feature class I have multiple apartments at 1 address. 100 MAIN ST APT 1 100 MAIN ST APT 2 100 MAIN ST APT 3 etc Instead of having a label appear for each individual apartment I would like to consolidate them all into 1, such as 100 MAIN ST APT 1 - 3 or 100 MAIN ST (1,2,3) ArcGIS Desktop 10.2.2 Any suggestions or directions would be wonderful. Thanx

I actually resolved this myself. Place the second field behind the first one separated by a comma as such: addressQuery.OrderByFields = New List(Of OrderByField)() From {New OrderByField("FULLNAME, PREADDRNUM", SortOrder.Ascending)}

Good Morning, I am attempting to order by multiple fields. Using the sample I can successfully get the sort to work in one field, but I want it to sort by 'Field A' and then 'Field B'. In the code below "FULLNAME" is my Field A and "PREADDRNUM" would be my Field B. I have spent 2 days searching for a solution. I did find a C# version, but I have not been able to convert it properly. Can someone help me with this? Thank you Dim addressQuery As Query = New ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Tasks.Query()
addressQuery.OutFields.Add("*")
addressQuery.ReturnGeometry = True
addressQuery.Text = AddressBox.Text
addressQuery.OrderByFields = New List(Of OrderByField)() From {New OrderByField("FULLNAME", SortOrder.Ascending)}
addressTask.ExecuteAsync(addressQuery) I placed this SUB in here because in the C# version I saw the order was set in this event. Private Sub FindTask_ExecuteCompleted(sender As Object, e As QueryEventArgs)
AddressGrid.Visibility = Windows.Visibility.Visible
Dim featureSet As FeatureSet = e.FeatureSet
If featureSet IsNot Nothing AndAlso featureSet.Features.Count > 0 Then
AddressGrid.ItemsSource = featureSet.Features
Else
MessageBox.Show("No features returned from query")
End If
End Sub

I am using the legend class within tab items. All the layers and checkboxes function fine on and off. I want to have a GOT_FOCUS event on a tab item that clears all the checkboxes from the legend class when that tab item gains focus. Any suggestions? This is in VB btw. Thank you

I am using a queryTask with ZoomTo off of an EXECUTE Button. When I first click the button, I receive the ERROR CODE 400: Unable to complete operation. If I click OK then click EXECUTE again, the query is fine and the point displays and zooms accordingly. // Draw results when query is complete. private void QueryTask_ExecuteCompleted(object sender, ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Tasks.QueryEventArgs args) { // Clear previous results. GraphicsLayer graphicsLayer = MyMap.Layers["MyGraphicsLayer"] as GraphicsLayer; graphicsLayer.ClearGraphics(); // Check for new results. FeatureSet featureSet = args.FeatureSet; if (featureSet.Features.Count > 0) { // Add results to the map. foreach (Graphic resultFeature in featureSet.Features) { resultFeature.Symbol = LayoutRoot.Resources["ResultsMarkerSymbol"] as ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Symbols.SimpleMarkerSymbol; graphicsLayer.Graphics.Add(resultFeature); MapPoint communityPoint = graphicsLayer.Graphics[0].Geometry as MapPoint; ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Geometry.Envelope e = new ESRI.ArcGIS.Client.Geometry.Envelope( communityPoint.X - 1000, communityPoint.Y - 1000, communityPoint.X + 1000, communityPoint.Y + 1000); MyMap.ZoomTo(e); } } else { MessageBox.Show("No features found"); } }

Is it possible to use picture marker symbols in a unique value renderer? I know this is yes, but to have this work on a graphics layer? Can someone show me an example of this, please. Thank you very much.

I am having a hard time setting up the subLayers of a dynamicMap Service layer to display as a checkbox list, so that the sublayers can be turned on or off by the user. var map, layer, legendLayers = []; function init() { map = new esri.Map("map", { zoom: 1 }); var basemapUrl = "http://--------------------------"; var basemap = new esri.layers.ArcGISTiledMapServiceLayer(basemapUrl); layer = new esri.layers.ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer("http://---------------------------",{id:'County'}); legendLayers.push({layer:layer,title:"Berkeley County"}); //add the legend dojo.connect(map,'onLayersAddResult',function(results){ var legend = new esri.dijit.Legend({ map:map, layerInfos:legendLayers },"legendDiv"); legend.startup(); }); map.addLayers([basemap,layer]); dojo.connect(map,'onLayersAddResult',function(results){ //add check boxes dojo.forEach(legendLayers,function(layer){ var layerName = layer.subLayerIds; var checkBox = new dijit.form.CheckBox({ name: "checkBox" + layer.subLayerIds, value: layer.subLayerIds, checked: layer.layer.visible, onChange: function(evt) { var clayer = map.getLayer(this.value); clayer.setVisibility(!clayer.visible); this.checked = clayer.visible; } }); //add the check box and label to the toc dojo.place(checkBox.domNode,dojo.byId("toggle"),"after"); var checkLabel = dojo.create('label',{'for':checkBox.name, innerHTML:layerName},checkBox.domNode,"after"); dojo.place("<br />",checkLabel,"after"); }); }); }

I have a shape file (Polygon) of a district, and a shape file (Point) of residents per household by address. I wish to determine the average number of residents per household in a district. I already have a layer for each district with it's addresses. I am looking to do the following equation {RESIDENT_COUNT_TOTAL] / [TOTAL_NUMBER_FULLADDR] = Avg Residents per household. Can someone help me with this process?

I have used my LT-40 USB Antenna on previous versions of ArcPad, while using a GeoXT 2005. I am now using a nice, new Trimble Yuma with ArcPad 10 and cannot get the Receiver to function within the Map. I have loaded the Delorme Serial Emulator and followed all the appropriate steps and still nothing. I have tried using the earthmate and NMEA selection to no avail. Is anyone able to make this work?
