I've added a domain list of values to a field in a hosted feature layer. 1 - Larry's Landscaping 2 - Pete's Plumbing 3 - Ricks Roofing 4 - Cal's Construction 5 - Other When editing/adding features, the codes are in a dropdown. After adding the feature, I am expecting to see the "label" in the attribute table, not the "code". I found this below on Esri - https://doc.arcgis.com/en/arcgis-online/manage-data/define-attribute-lists-and-ranges.htm I'm expecting to see "Larry's Landscaping" in the attribute table, not "1". Am I wrong to think this? How do I see the label? Code—The code is stored in the attribute table and must be supported for the data type set for the field. For example, if the field is an integer field, you cannot have a code that uses alphabetical characters. In some cases, the code value is an abbreviated form of the information. For example, for the materials field in the trash bin example, the codes might be PL and AL. Label—The label is a unique text value that appears in the values list and attributes table. For the PL code, the label is plastic and for the AL code, the label is aluminum. The label also allows you to show more information than the data type for the field allows. For example, if the trash bin layer also has an integer field that stores bin height, the code for a 1 meter bin would be 1, but you can set the corresponding label to 1 m or 1 meter.

I'm looking for a way for clients to merge lines in an ArcGIS Online app (Web App Builder). I use the Edit Widget and there is a "Merge" option, but for polygons only. Is there another widget that can do this for lines? I looked through the Smart Editor, but that doesn't even seem to have the polygon merge option. Toolbar options—Allows you to use geometry modifying operations via the editing toolbar to select features, clear the selection, and delete features (by selection). Merge—Allows you to combine two or more polygons into one single feature. Caution: The Merge tool currently only works on polygons.

After opening a Support Case it was learned that this was only working incorrectly on a few features. Others were zoomed to correctly. Couldn't find anything wrong with the data, but woke today with visions of "Check Geometry" and "Repair Geometry" tools in my head. Before running the tools, decided to check in AGO one more time to make sure they are still in need of a fix. They were not. All of the problematic features were now being zoomed to correctly, though it took a browser cache clean on Chrome to display correctly.

This app uses the URL search param to select & zoom to a specific route based on the ID number. The end of the URLs below show this as "&ID=6673" for example. If you take that off, the app will zoom correctly to the default extent. When I enter these URLs now, it zooms to some far away place, not to the specific location. Did an update to AGO change this behavior? I checked the app configuration and all looks good in there. http://vdot.maps.arcgis.com/apps/View/index.html?appid=c4fa0decb88e49febc10a490221cb267&ID=6673 http://vdot.maps.arcgis.com/apps/View/index.html?appid=c4fa0decb88e49febc10a490221cb267&ID=7059

Is the bug the whole method of using Update Layer Definition? Or is the bug related to this poster's Def Qry only? I'm running into similar problem trying to update a field to nullable = false.

Any luck with this? I'm trying to do similar. Trying to change this value to "false" "nullable" : true, I tried the EditDate with " " and "" Each time I click Update Layer Definition, it reverts back to what it was. If I change it to JSON, I get - "success" : true But nothing changed. If I leave it as HTML, nothing changes

Is this still an issue/bug? I'm trying to synchronize 6 layers and 8000+ features in one feature service after hours of editing/updating. Am I going to be able to save/synch all those edits?

When I attempt to add an MXD to Pro from a folder that contains several 10.3.1 MXDs, Pro doesnt show any MXDs in that folder. If i choose some other folders with MXDs, it recognizes some. Are there some reasons that Pro doesn't recognize/import MXDs?

I'm now going with a version of Option 1 using a "View" of the data that is filtered on the first specific client. Option 2 Map Notes wasn't seeming to work unless the client had an Organizational account.

Is there a method where the public (Everyone) can use ArcGIS Online to draw a line (where they are applying for a permit) and save/export/send that line to our agency for review? For years, we've been requiring applicants (usually utility industry clients) to submit a SHP, DXF, or KML of their proposed work location. Hoping there is now an easier way for clients to create a line and get it to us w/o having to buy GIS or CAD software. a couple ways that are close but not quite: 1 - I create a public shared feature layer and provide editing ability. clients can open it, and add new lines. The problem with this is that all lines are shown, which would number 1000s in a given year. We don't want client A seeing client B's proposed work location. We only want one line in the deliverable so our staff knows exactly which line they are reviewing. 2 - A user opens a new map and Adds Map Notes, draws their line, and saves their layer. This seems promising, and seems to create a "Feature Layer". User can email the Details page to us. The problem so far is that when I open the Details, i do not have the option to "Open in Desktop". Why not? I think if i could get the user's layer open in Desktop, we have something to work with. Is there a better existing method to allow the public to create data and send that data to an agency like ours?

I've had this problem too on an Android, but not on iPhone or iPad. Here is an example site that doesn't have Location working on Android, but does for iPhone. gis.franklincountypa.gov/taxparcelviewer I'm not the author of the web map/app and have no control over the http or https. Are you saying Location isn't going to work on Android/Chrome? it also seems to not work on my desktop using Chrome. but does using IE.

Something is wrong with my latest published features or webmaps. After I Edit > draw new feature, it shows briefly on the map, then disappears after zooming/panning or clicking anywhere else. On my older published webmaps, I can edit normally, and the new features show up in the published layer in the cloud. I've compared the details from an old and a new webmap and features, and they seem to have identical properties (Editors can add, update, delete). What else can be going on? I also have problems overwriting existing services. ArcGIS 10.2.1 The reason I like to use overwrite is to use the same layer name, symbology, tags, description, etc., and not have to fill out all of that info each time. Trying to overwrite an existing service with 2660 features. I've changed the parameter to 3000 records. ArcMap > Share As > Service indicates successful publishing. When I try to open the features in ArcGIS Online, I get 0 features drawn, and 0 records in the Show Table. If I open the layer from MyHostedServices in ArcMap, the layer loads into the TOC, but there are 0 records. Am I doing something wrong in the overwriting? Is it possible overwriting just doesn't work a lot of the time? Does it have anything to do with re-using the same name? I can open a new ArcMap session, bring in same the layer again, create a new service (new name, new tags, new parameters, description etc) and it publishes all 2660 features successfully. So, why doesn't this work using "overwrite"? Tried it also by saving a .SD file and Updating the existing service with the new SD. Again, I get a successful publishing message, but when loading the features into AGOL, I get 0 features.
