I feel like I'm missing an important step I'm hoping someone can help point me in the right direction. I'm using the new map viewer in ArcGIS Enterprise Version 10.9.1 In the expression builder for the pop up I've included code just like the above solution. I test it in the expression builder and it looks fine in that it returns the number of records sorted the way I want. I then save the expression. When I test my change on my web maps however, the pop ups continue to show all the records not just the top ones. Should I be referencing the expression in the body of the pop up text? I tried that but it doesn't do anything, or I'm just not doing it correctly. Thank You!

Glad to find out I'm not the only one who wasn't able to get this to work using the current filter widget. Implementing the ability to filter across multiple datasets using a single filter, like you can with a dashboard would provide a much better "experience" for the users of the user of the App I'm trying to create. If I didn't need some of the mapping widgets only included with experience builder, I would have considered embedding the dashboards in my "experience" project.

I was just being asked if this was possible. A year has gone by since this excellent idea was entered. Can you do this now?

Thank you. I saw that the blog article had an update today. from the blog ... "Initial Post 12/12/21 – Last Updated 12/22/21 – 10:30am PT" I saw that the guidance re: CVE-2021-45105 is still to implement a WAF. Hopefully other recommendations will be coming soon. Thanks, Joe

I've been asked to look into assisting with mitigating CVE-2021-45105 in our ARCGIS enterprise environment. Searching log4j, I did not find any other discussions relating to this specific CVE so I'm asking it here. The python script only seems to address CVE-2021-44228 and CVE-2021-45046. Anyone else working on this, or have a solution? The ESRI blog referencing this reccomends applying Web Application Firewall rules to mitigate this. ESRI tech support (even our premium support tier) is unable to advise or assist us with these firewall rules. So I've forwarded the Web Application Firewall doc included in the log4j blog post from ESRI to our network team, and while I'm waiting for them to get back to me, I thought I'd see if anyone else has done anything on this specific CVE.

In browsing posts about this, I saw posts and tested the browser scale at 100% but that didn't work. However I had missed that about the Windows display needing to be at 100% as well. Just tested it. My Windows display was at 125%. Changed it to 100, and now the pop ups are working. Thank You.

We are having the same issue. Impacts some users not others on this version of chrome. Interestingly it's not limited to ArcGIS. We have a 3rd party application called GeoCortex Essentials. The same thing is happening on that application as well.

I was wondering the same thing, mostly because "NO_SYSTEM" is the default. If there is no harm or impact to using the "SYSTEM" option, I was curious why "SYSTEM" isn't the default. From George's answer a few years ago it almost sounds like "SYSTEM" is the preferred setting when running this tool I wonder when it most appropriate to use the "NO_SYSTEM" setting.... This isn't a question anyone needs to answer. I just wanted to add my voice as to why I was confused which setting to use. I will use the "SYSTEM" option going forward.

We just upgraded to 10.6.1 and have run into the issue as well. Was anyone here ever able to resolve it? Any chance 10.7 fixed it?

Just stumbled on this issue when trying to get a script to run as a scheduled task on one of our servers. It's true data in file geodatabases are almost impossible to access from non-ESRI apps.

I contacted ESRI tech support after I made my comment just to make sure I wasn't missing anything, and they confirmed that overwriting a feature layer published by others is not allowed. The work around they gave me was to ask my co-worker for their log-in credentials. We use windows authentication to connect to portal, getting my co-workers passwords is kind of frowned on here and not an option. That's interesting what Nathan said about this being set like this by design. There really ought to be a way through permissions or a checkbox to allow for exceptions. I wondered what would happen if I changed the ownership of the Feature Layer from my-coworker to myself in Portal. Perhaps if portal considered me the owner then I could overwrite the feature layer. I was shocked and surprised again when I got a message saying "Error - Unable to change the owner of items that are shared to a group with update capability" Our maps and layers are all shared to a group that permits multiple people to make changes to the same app and supporting web maps. What's going to happen when my co-worker leaves? Are we supposed to keep their account active in portal forever? So is it best practice then to instead of using an individual log-in, to publish services and maps to portal, or ArcGIS via a generic portal only user account? Something like "Portal_Publisher" maybe, with a password the whole team can share ....

Just started experimenting with ArcGIS Pro 2.1 and Portal 10.5.1 and was shocked when I couldn't see the published web layer my co-worker created when I went to overwrite it. I have Administrator privileges too. In ArcGIS Server and ArcMap I can overwrite my co-workers content so long as I have admin credentials. I don't want to have to ask my co-worker to make changes like this, when I could do it myself. I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to allow other users to overwrite other workers content so long as they are permitted to do so via Portal Group permissions, or Administrator Role permissions.
