“Raster to other format” tool fails to convert ecw rasters of 4 bands to jpg,

I’m not sure if there is a tool that can convert ecw rasters of 4 bands to jpg.

Thank you

Jamal

Because if you read the help topic you will see it is a fumction not a tool

Extract Band function—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

More information

Raster functions—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation

and it will make a folder so it is best if your project is in a folder

I couldn’t figure out where the output of the “extract band” raster function is saved

You missed this in the help... first line

Raster functions are operations that apply processing directly to the pixels of imagery and raster datasets, as opposed to geoprocessing tools, which write out a new raster to disk.

There is no clue where the result is saved.

The “Extract Bands_MOLG_2018_ITM_36_14.ecw” doesn’t appear in the folder that contains “MOLG_2018_ITM_36_14.ecw”.

The original “MOLG_2018_ITM_36_14.ecw” still has 4 bands

I believe that once you have completed running the function, the newly created image is held in memory. So you'll need to right click on it and "export" to wherever you would like to save it. I believe at this point there is also the option of the format so, back to your original question, you could save it as a 3 band jpg. You may want to use some caution though - if the original file is an ECW, it may be compressed which could lead to a potentially large jpg (or tiff etc.)
