Customizing UN during load process

I have an electric UN generated.

I have my geometric network (GN) source data.

I have the data loading workspace generated with all the required spreadsheets.

I am successfully migrating data from GN to UN and working out domain values mismatch.

Works great.

But what if I need to create a new field in my UN and load a GN field into it?

Now that I have all the spreadsheets made and customized how would I go about adding a new field to UN and then loading into it from GN? Without regenerating the spreadsheets and losing the customizations within?

PS, the GN is ArcFM electric distribution so it's pretty massive.

Figure out simple field, no domains, etc.

- add field to the the UN geodatabase per normal

- in the data mapping xls add entries to the following worksheets:

      - mapping

      - target schema

      - target subtype

Then execute the load, worked great.

I suspect there's a bit more involved if domains are involved.

The target schema/subtype sheets are not used (they are provided as reference) during translation. All that is required is to add the new target field to the mapping sheet. Same thing with domains, you don't have to add it to the domain workbook.

But it is good practice to keep them in sync.
