Is Survey123 Website already available to be installed on premise on ArcGIS Enterprise,

as described in this presentation http://proceedings.esri.com/library/userconf/devsummit17/papers/dev_int_221.pdf from 2016?

If so, does it includes the reporting functionality (with MS Word docs...)?

Hi Guilherme,

On-premises Survey123 installation is currently in Beta and is available for download through the Early Adopter Community here. The Early Adopter website also contains this documentation to help get you started.

This on-premises installation allows you to set up on a local server that is not connected to the internet (or has limited connectivity), the elements of Survey123 that are usually accessed via the internet. The installation includes the webpages used to view and manage surveys and their results, and also the conversion tool required to turn xlsforms (created in Excel or an equivalent spreadsheet software) into the xforms used in the Survey123 field and web apps.

It doesn't currently support the reporting functionality of the website. While this may be introduced in the future, it is not in the current product timeline.

Best regards,

Brett

Hi Brett,

Thanks for the helpful information.

The reporting functionality is our main reason to use Survey123 Website,
once data visualization and analysis we do via WebApps/Dashboards.

We'd be grateful if this functionallity were to be included on-premise.
Or even better: if it becomes a general tool to create reports in ArcGIS Enterprise.

Kind regards,

Guilherme

Hi again Guilherme,

Up until recently, the Survey123 Feature Report functionality has only been accessible via the Survey123 website. Behind the scenesthere is an API that manages this functionality, which can now be used for other applications.  We are inviting our Early Adopter Community (EAC) to try out the API and provide feedback.

The API consists of the following functions, available at https://survey123.arcgis.com/api/featureReport:

  • createSampleTemplate
  • checkTemplateSyntax
  • createReport/submitJob
  • jobs/
  • queryJobs

More details can be found on our EAC website, please join (if you haven't already) and give it a go. We're keen to hear your feedback.

Hi Brett,

Many thanks for this clear outline of the product's functionalities!

My organization too will need to implement the on premises API, rather than use the survey123.arcgis.com mainstream website.

Just as Guilherme B. Bender, we run viz and analyses via webmaps/apps and dashboards. That makes reports "the" most wanted data-crunching feature. Would you have news on its implementation within the API? Has the road map been updated with it, and if so, what would be the broad timeline for delivery?

Many thanks in advance for your lights !

With kind regards,

Hélène

Hi Guilherme,

Having the exact same need, and happy to see we are not alone (!!), I have created a new ArcGIS Idea here:

https://community.esri.com/ideas/17562

=> let's try to push this functionnality up on the to-do list! Please vote and share around!

Many thanks!

Hélène.

if you need the on primise application then you need to custumize the application using the arcgis map and web application using the java spring framework
