Identify measure (or vertex) that has minimum a Z value in polyline (ZM enabled)

Hello,

I have a polyline feature class that has both M values (based on geometric distance) and Z values based an underlying DEM.  What I would like to do is identify the measure that corresponds to the minimum Z value (see simple illustration below).  I know I can do this manually by viewing 3D profile with 3D Toolbar, or viewing vertices in editing mode, but wanted to see if there is a relatively easy way to do this with a tool (or series of tools).  I imagine it can be done with a cursor in python by looping through all the verticies in each feature, but hoping there is a more out of the box solution.

Any help/thoughts would be appreicated

Thanks!

Neal
