Map series: no label layer created in export PDF

When exporting data driven maps to PDF from ArcMap, a layer representing the labels was included in the PDF that could be switched on and off.
When exporting map series in ArcGIS Pro to PDF, there is no separate layer for labels created anymore. I tried with and without embedded fonts in the export settings, thinking it could make a difference.

Am I overlooking something, or is this functionality not available (yet) in Pro? Thanks!

Hi Els,

I encountered the same issue when running ArcGIS Pro 2.3.3.

I tested a test build for ArcGIS Pro 2.4. I produced a PDF from a Map Series. I opened the PDF in Adobe Acrobat Pro. I can now turn off/on the labels. Looks like the functionality you are looking for will be available in ArcGIS Pro 2.4.
