Does anyone have any advice on how to add a hit counter to a flex viewer application?

Hello Manuel,
There's probably a gazilliion different counters out there, but StatCounter (http://statcounter.com/) is the one i use. Its simple and the free version will log up to 500 entries. And all you do is paste about 7 or 8 lines of code into your /Index.html file of the app.
it also can email you the stats which is very cool.
And of course there's Google Analytics too. -(http://www.google.com/analytics/)

Gerald,
Thanks for the help.  I have gotten that far now but now the problem i am running into is the counter loads and then the base map loads on top of it.  If you zoom out it will appear but if you zoom in again it goes back underneath the base map.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I believe its because its in the outside margin of the actual map container that causes that effect. I kinda like that actually. I really didnt want my counter to take up valueable map space all the time. There might be a way to include it inside the map viewer container but i didnt look into it..Sorry.
