Shapefile appears in QGIS but not in ArcMap. What is the diagnosis ?

Hello all, my shapefile appears in QGIS but not in ArcMap. I have it stored in a PostgreSQL database and have all the fields where they need to be. attached is a snip of what i see when i load the shapefile into ArcMap as a query feature class.  I soon get an error message about a shape integrity error. I'm stumped on how to fix it. advice?
