I have MS Office 2010 Professional on a laptop mostly just using Excel. For some reason, the program crashes frequently when I am opening xls document.
Any ideas on what is going on? I really need to fix this before next Sunday. Thanks.

MS Office?  Does it have anything to do with ArcMap or ArcGIS Pro?

If not, could be a problem with that program
