Finding Center Points for Multiple Clusters

Hello,

I have a single layer of point features that, in some locations, are very dense.  Is there any tool I can run that can generate a center point for each of these dense clusters even though they exist in one layer? What I'm looking for is multiple center points.

Thank you,

Alexa

Alexa, do you have a screen grab of what you are working with?

Do you have the Spatial Statistics extension?

Have you seen...

Hello Dan,

Thank you for the reply and the help. I did take a look at the Mapping Clusters toolset and the Density-based clustering tool worked!

Thanks again,

Alexa

Hello,

Since the work flow you describe is looking at clusters of points the 'Density-based Clustering' tool could be used to generate clusters. The results of this tool contain an ID for each cluster. Running the 'Mean Center' tool using the Cluster ID as the case field will create a point for the centers of each cluster detected using density-based clustering.

Work flow using density based clustering and mean center using cluster ID as a case field.

Let me know if that helps!
