If you are with an educational institution that would be about right. The license availability has a set renew/expiry date whether you renew it or not. If you were using an extension (ie something to do with video) on a trial basis during your installation process, then it may expire before that date, since the trial versions are not for the full duration of the student license. When that license expires you won't be able to use the extension again until you see if you can get it renewed (if that is possible) through your educational site license manager
