Hi all,

Is it possible to customize the story map so on button click we hide/show sections. I would like to filter the story maps. I dont really want to embed story maps within that story map.

Thanks,

Alex

Hi Alex, by authoring Story Actions in your narrative (https://community.esri.com/community/gis/web-gis/storymaps/blog/2016/06/01/arcgis-blog-using-story-m... ) you can jump to different sections in a Map Journal. You can also set up Story Actions that open other content in the main stage, such as embedded content. But there's no way for your readers to filter the sections in a Map Journal to hide/show them selectively. Might be better though in general to just have a flowing story without a lot of jumps or paths through: some of our favorite Map Journals that we think are really effective are read just by scrolling through so your story can reveal itself without too much extra navigation.
