No playback in FMV

Hey, I am having an issue with FMV. I can load a video in the video manager and open it, but none of the playback controls work. It shows the first frame of the video but won't play. This occurs with videos I have multiplexed as well as the CheyenneVA sample video. this happens on 2 separate computers both running Windows 10. I have tried with Arc 10.4.1-10.6 with no change. I previously had FMV working with 10.4.1 on one of these computers but I updated to 10.6 and have no luck.

did you uninstall the FMV GP tools before upgrading ArcMap?  This is a historical problem, and one we've tried to solve but cannot (until we get to Pro 2.2 later this year)

With the FMV 1.x add-in, you must uninstall FMV before uninstalling/upgrading ArcMap.  See http://esriurl.com/FMVManual (for 1.4) or http://esriurl.com/FMV132Manual (for 1.3.2)

Yes, I did uninstall GP tools. Is that a teaser that Pro will include FMV in 2.2? That would be nice...

Maybe I need to go through the process of uninstalling arc and then wiping all the directories and registry entries and doing a fully clean install?

Hi Max,

You mentioned that the add-in appears to install correctly but that the video sub-frame controls do not work correctly. Not sure if you went through the clean uninstall/reinstall yet but was curious if any of the Geoprocessing tools provided with the add-in worked correctly? If they did install are you able to run the "Mosaic Video" GP tool and is a Mosaic Dataset created successfully as output? I was just curious if calling one of these tools was successful.
