The Full Motion Video 1.3.1 User Manual seems to be freely available to download at https://community.esri.com/docs/DOC-8607

However, I am using FMV 1.4 and looking for its User Manual to download.

The Full Motion Video 1.4 Installation Guide.pdf has on its last page a link labelled

http://esriurl.com/FMV14Manual which actually goes to http://esriurl.com/FMV132Manual but that redirects to https://esri.app.box.com/s/8q9uvq5ib0wu0icxmzkha8i9b3j8eilp

I am not currently part of Esri and so it seems that I do not have credentials to supply to https://account.box.com/login.

Is it possible for me to download either Full Motion Video 1.4 Installation Guide.pdf (if it is ready to be distributed) or the Full Motion Video 1.3.2 Installation Guide.pdf?

The key thing that I am looking for is whether FMV supports any video formats additional to the 12 listed in the FMV 1.3.1 and 1.3.2 User Manuals.

Graeme, your original problem was my mistake - that should be corrected now.

Rebecca, it sounds like you are running into a firewall issue on your end that I don't believe I can solve - but if anyone needs these or other FMV documents and is unable to download them, please let me know and I will post them on other locations for you to reach.

e.g. these links should work

http://s3.amazonaws.com/ImageManagementWorkflowsTeam/FMV/Full%20Motion%20Video%201.4%20Installation%...
http://s3.amazonaws.com/ImageManagementWorkflowsTeam/FMV/Full_Motion_Video_1.4_User_Manual.pdf

my apologies for the confusion.  I believe I had a bad link, and you should now be able to download the FMV 1.4 manual from http://esriurl.com/FMV14manual.  This is public and you should not be challenged for a login to Box; if that is not working, please let me know.

To clarify expectations:  FMV 1.4 does not have new features since FMV 1.3.2.  FMV is using the add-in architecture for ArcGIS, so we have to create a new build for each version of ArcMap.  FMV 1.3.2 is not compatible with ArcMap 10.6, so FMV 1.4 was rebuilt for 10.6, but unfortunately we did not add any new video formats.

On the topic of video formats, one common issue is a desire to play *.MOV format.  As noted in the FAQ (http://esriurl.com/FMVFAQ), *MOV format files are typically encoded as *.h264, so if you simply make a copy (for backup) and rename your video file *.h264, it should work.

Let us know if this does not resolve your questions.

Thanks Cody

When following that FMV 1.4 link I am still challenged for a login to Box, and so am still unable to download.

I'm new to FMV and similar technologies and formats, so trying to come up to speed quickly for a project.

The files that I have been supplied for testing are WMV.

Thanks CBenkelman-esristaff    Yes, definitely a issue on our end, but wanted to point it out since I figured others would run into the issue too (everyone in our State system, for sure).

The new links works for us.  Thanks again.
