While Explorer is now in beta on both iOS and Android, those betas are at different places in their development. Explorer on iOS, with its 3rd beta version, is closer to complete than Explorer on Android, which is on its 1st beta release. The Android app is missing the following bits of functionality, although you will see them already on iOS:

  • Popups, including related tables
  • A new, updated experience for browsing maps
  • Compass mode
  • Ability to turn on and off the GPS
  • Bookmark, Basemap, and Layers tools
  • Dropping a pin
  • Adding a location to Places
  • Support for the Explorer URL scheme
  • About and Settings screens

Don’t worry, these are coming to Android as well. And while we anticipate (and appreciate) feedback on all aspects of the app, it is important to keep in mind that the beta is focused mainly on the markup and offline workflows. Markup and offline are ready on both platforms, so give them a run and let us know how they work for you.
