Should I deauthorize my computer if I clone my hard drive?

I have a new hard drive, and I want to clone my entire system (Windows 10) to this new drive to keep it as it is right now. Should I deauthorize ArcMap, or will the license work, as it is the same Windows system?

I have a student one-year license.

Thank you!

Hi, what you did to solve this issue.

I have got the same issue I have installed the SSD and cloned it from HHD. but now the new SSD is asking for the ArcGIS license.

Thanks

Yes, you must deauthorize your license before cloning.

Muhammad,

If you have the original hard drive, boot up with that hard drive and see if you can deauthorize the license.  Then reauthorize it after you have your new hard drive installed.  If this is not possible, you can contact Tech Support or go to the Recover Lost Licenses section in MyEsri.
