Hello,

We have been using ArcReader for clients that do not have ArcGIS licenses.

Recently we changed from creating ArcReader pmf using shapefiles to a file geodatabase.

Of about 10 clients, only 3 clients opened the new pmf and got the red "data not found" exclamation points.

We are unable to re-create the problem on our computers, even when copying over the file and data from the troubled clients' computers (no red exclamations).  We also re-created a simpler ArcReader pmf and still it did not work.

Any thoughts?

Could it be a .Net framework issue? or similar? on the clients computer?

We have ArcMap 10.0 hitting a 9.3 sde.  The clients use the same version of ArcReader as we do (10.0)

Thanks in advance,

Amy

don't know about Reader, but the red exclamation mark, means that the path can't be found... in ArcMap, one fixes this by saving using relative paths (with the project properties option).  I would check for a relative paths setting and ensure that all the data are 'relative' to the location of the loading file
