How to upload map tile packages to ArcGIS Online?

I have a map tile package I have created that we use as a basemap on our mobile devices in the Collector app. I would also like the users to use this layer on ArcGIS Online, however as it is over 1GB, it can't be added directly through My Content. Does anyone know if / how you can upload a tile package through ArcGIS Pro?

Hello Andy,

How large is the tile package that you are attempting to upload? If the tile package is around the 1GB size, there should not be a limitation when attempting to upload it to ArcGIS Online.  Which version of ArcGIS for Desktop did you use in order to create the tile package? What happens when you attempt to publish the tile package, is there a percentage that completes?
