Features drawn using Cartographic Representations are displayed in the TOC and Legend based on the Rule Names.  When using standard formats such as TDS, these rule names can be lengthy.  It would be ideal if there was a way to create a legend alias or some other descriptor for use in the legend other than the official rule name.  That way the official rule name remains intact, but my map legend is more meaningful.  I understand I can convert the legend to graphics, but a dynamic legend is preferred for numerous reasons.

An alternate naming option would be a huge help
